Webinar Session 3: The Role of Wild-Life Based Economy in Conservation and Sustainable Development
The wildlife economy, if sustainably managed, allows for the aligning of conservation and development objectives. The recently launched SADC Wildlife-Based Economy Strategy Framework (WBESF) has been approved by Member States and now needs to be implemented. This session will provide a short overview of the key elements of the WBESF, why it is important, some examples of current work and best practices related to the wildlife economy in SADC-TFCAs and potential avenues for implementation of the Framework, including key next steps.
