I had basically the same experience with this mod and god… let’s just say I love vampires way more now.

If I could figure out how to turn off Serana resurrecting corpses I would use her more. I find it intensely annoying.

It's a cool mod and the voice actor does a good job, In my opinion however it screws with my head that it's not Laura Bailey. I've been hearing this woman's voice in video games since I was in junior high between Rayne in ..Well Bloodrayne, Kait from Gears, and several others. That's just me though

I miss Laura Bailey and your Serana looks like a possessed doll. Cool mod idea but in the modern day I think AI and a Laura Bailey voice mod would work way better

I do like this mod, though I'm so used to the original voice actor that Serana sounds like she went from a mature woman to a seductive young woman, which is fine but JUST noticeable.

SDA banter with inigo and auri is so funny, i hope my favorite follower lucien also can banter with SDA in the future!

Really glad to see this mod getting some love! It was literally one of the top reasons why I decided to buy Skyrim on Steam so I could get into playing with mods, because I was so excited that someone expanded on Serana's character in such an interesting way. After playing the mod and romancing her, I was not disappointed. I do get some of the valid criticisms, but at the end of the day I think the writer and voice actor did justice to one of the most (if not THE most) compelling characters in Skyrim.

I really enjoyed this fresh take on Serana's character, and the Dawnguard adventures! After that, Serana became a little clingy for my taste though. Someone who was funny and mysterious is now desperately fawning over me, asking daily if I remember the two things we've done together. Serana is not real, but my guilt is. Go platonic unless you want to pity date Serana, which kills her for me :|

The second I found this mod on Xbox I fell in love, well fell in love again, before I played Dawnguard for the first time about 5 or 6 years ago I basically never touched any of the companions in Skyrim, I preferred just being a solo character that was self reliant, but when I was able to have Serana as a companion, she definitely felt different than say Cosnach, Lydia or Jenassa, she had depth to her as a character that wasn't there with any other companion, she was amazing. This mod is easily a 100/10, the VA's voice is beautiful and the quality of the voice work is impeccable too, I found a visual overhaul mod for Serana called "Anima Nera - Serkethetyt's Serana Overhaul" that gave her such a good compliment to the mod (In my opinion at least), with a small little detail of having a facial scar that the mod implies is thanks to Molag Bal, giving a hint that what Molag Bal wasn't only mental, but physical. I wish I saw this video sooner, but RUclips seems to have given quite a few people this video to see via recommended.

It's an insanely good mod! You did a great job spotlighting it. Everyone should have this as a mandatory part of their load order!

I don't know....this version of Serana sounds a bit stilted and unnatural. Like the voice actor is pushing herself to speak in a certain way this is unnatural to her. It might be the dialogue itself, it looks like it was written more to be read, rather than spoken out loud.

So breaking the Seranacharacter for simps ^^ the work in this mod is great, but I dont like it. I played it :D They should stay on the character

The Dragonborn's soul is going to delete Molag Bal from the gian't dream.

Ive probably spent more time with Serana in Skyrim than any other character in a game XD

The few minutes of conversation I've seen through your video already far surpasses any NPC dialog I've heard in Skyrim, though to be fair, I did play it mostly around the time of release and found it... lukewarm.

what I'm really excited about with this mod is the patch with the Vigilant mod, having serana kill molag ball with the bard dagger is exactly the kind of dramatic irony I'm waiting for, it feel like the logical end to her character arc

Might be great for some, but IMO it just doesn't fit, plus you're missing out on Laura Bailey

I can see it took a lot of work but I just prefer a lore friendly experience for my game. She was a bit too corny and horny/ out of character for me.

Ok, just for adding that bit from Sword Art Abridged, you get a sub XD. That always made me laugh, that one just glitching out " WE MUST SAVE MY FAMILY!!" XD

Shes the best vanilla follower as far as dialogue etc.... but inigo,gore, sachil etc... are all better imo. She talks about being a alchemist alot of stuff doesn't fit the darker nature if the family.

I didn't like this mod. It turned Serana from constantly whining about everything to being a lot more "slutty", if you will.

I'm also of the "adventuring party" bent, and prefer the group feeling to solo RPGs. I particularly like using SDA with Inigo, Lucien, Viljia, Auri, and IDF-Lydia (with all of the relevant patches) since most of those followers have various levels of banter with each other, and it really gives me the "Dragon Age: Origins/D&D Party" vibe I prefer. You can do this with some newer follower mods too, like Remial, Xelzaz, and Redcap, I just like the writing for the older followers more personally.

Serena is quite possibly the best character that Bethesda has ever created.

What a wonderful video! In truth, I almost wish Skyrim was a bit smaller, so this sort of thing could have been the norm in the actual game. I'd take a smaller game, if the world itself felt more involved and the characters were more dynamic.

Good video, but i have to ask: Why SDA instead of any of the other follower mods available on the Nexus? Is it just because it's Serana? Also, if you haven't tried the others, you definitely should. For example, SDA and Auri have conversations, and theres plenty others that'll talk to eachother.

I'm not long into the video, but it's very well made so far! Love videos about the Dawnguard DLC, it honestly felt more like the main quest than the actual main quest

This was definitely a mod I couldn’t live without, it made everything new for me, especially starting the main quest before becoming Dragonborn, I love this mod 😊
