Alfred the goat
at turn 26 (9:55) I think max potion is a wrong choice since he will heal up with the kinship attack anyway?
It's been wayyyy too long since I recorded this or last played the game, so I don't remember why I did the things I did. Think it might've been something petty like max potions being easier to get than dust of life, and my own hp not mattering as much (and if I remember correctly using items give more kinship than just attacking as well, so I probably wanted to use something just for the kinship)
brachydios finishing pose is just perfect with explosion behind it
That was cute. Well, Back to the other games and killing him for his scales
ONE PUNCH MANNNNN!! 😂
I always referred to this move as the Brachy Upper
Hajime no Brachydios❤
I could never once beat this damn lizard. The last phase when he spams aoe twice was ultimately too much for me. Currently replaying this great game but since the online is mostly dried up now, I guess I won't even try this time. It's just stupid how op they made this thing. It's just not fun and they expected you to farm this b* for his equipment?!? Hell no.
well it is supposed to be the very last and strongest monster of the end game content, if it was too easy it would've been a letdown. I think the biggest problem is the learning curve as you have to try multiple times just slightly advancing with every attempt until you learn fatalis' full moveset and what order he does things, I'd recommend just reading at guiding nowadays since the game is already a few years old. The online has always been kind of dead since the beginning as the game is region locked (well worse than that since it's directly tied to your steam server if you playing on PC, and for bigger countries there's multiple servers), but there's multiple communities for people looking to play with others, and I'd even argue that's also better since you can coordinate properly with them for fights like this one. If you decide to give it a try down the line just join one of those and ask someone for help :) ps: I don't really remember how good his armor was, but for his weapon it was barely an upgrade, and only against monsters weak to dragon.
@@Dwyriel having an optional superboss is all fine and dandy but since it's the only source for materials after clearing the two Elder Lair runs is just plain rotten. They're alienating any regular players who might wanna collect every gear and are not very good at playing against something like this. Not many players will reach lv.90+ without insane grinding and on top of that, choose to invest in an Aptonoth. No, they made this thing way, way, way, waaay to strong. If it only was a stronger optional monster to train your mettle at, it would've been fine but they should've let you farm the regular version in Elder's Lair for materials in my opinion. Well, the online seems to still be around on the Switch at least but I'm still never gonna farm this thing. Normally I love to get everything in a game, but I guess my Rider Card will stop at 90-something-%.
I wouldn't consider someone who's 100%ing a game a "regular player", in fact regular players rarely ever continue playing the game after they finished the story. This goes for all the normal monhun games and the "stories" ones. Fatalis is not a hard fight if you know what to do because it's a very, very, VERY scripted fight. Everything he does follow a specific pattern. As I said the hard thing is discovering this pattern, not dealing with it. You DO NOT need level 90+ unless you're soloing, I've done this fight with a level 67 character. And you DO NOT need Aptonoth unless you're soloing as it's the only way to have a safe turn to use items where fatalis can't do anything. Idk why ppl think Aptonoth is this godtier monstie when it's one of the weakest ones, only good thing about it is the kinship ability and just for utility, only fight I found a use for it was Fatalis and only when soloing, and even then it can be a negative thing as it can mess up the pattern Fatalis was following. For everything else you can kill things easier and faster by using actual good monsties and countering the monster's attacks. What I'm trying to say is, as long as you invested a few hours getting decent genes, crafted a hunting horn with Evasion Riff and, if I'm remembering correctly, have around 380+ HP you're good to go. (For coop of course) I'd offer help beating Fatalis but I haven't played MHS2 in 2 years and I don't really plan on playing it again so I can only wish you luck if you decide to give fatalis a go again.
Now imagine if there was a deviant brachydios
Everyone else is talking about your team and such but what I want to know is how TF the hunters got fatalis into the arena?
They put a giant cardboard panel around the arena with an image of castle schrade. Fatais was sleeping peacefully in the middle of the arena the next morning.
Bro had a training arc💀
😲💕😊👍
Hi I am new to this channel I am level 90 and I still can not beat him any advice for what level i should I be?
if you're soloing it should be doable at that level, but it can come down to luck depending on what your AI partner does and sometimes even a critical can lead to you dying. Soloing requires quite a lot of knowledge of the fight to know what to do and when, what fatalis will do and when, and possibly to recover from bad RNG/overlaps. If you have never defeated fatalis before, I'd recommend trying to find a coop partner somewhere that can help you, and most important of all, communicate with you. Though there isn't that many ppl nowadays playing, you might find someone in one of the monhun discord channels or in the mhs2 steam forum. If you don't understand the fight 100% yet, you can find guides online explaining it as the fight is pretty much hard coded to work a certain way, making it very consistent. I also wrote my own if you're interested (you can find it on the steam community guides). That said, even though knowing those things would certainly help, there's a certain unpredictability if you cannot see fatalis' hp yet, as his transitions between phases (getting enraged and his last phase) is directly tied to hp, meaning it's a lot harder to plan what to do ahead when you're mostly having to guess when he'll be enraging and transitioning to the next phase. If you have any specific questions let me know, I'll do my best to answer them. I haven't played the game in a long time though, so I might not know or not remember specific things or some finer details.
THANKS!!!!
Damn how’d you know if he was sky forcing or hellish flaming
It's been a few too many years since I last played, but if I recall correctly it's "random" which one he chooses outside some special scenarios, that said, most of his attacks are pre determined with minimum RNG in this fight, and when he goes below 25% hp everything is hard coded to be a specific pattern, just the targets will be random (most attacks are AoE so doesn't change much). In other words, outside of his enrages and the last phase, it can be either. If you're interested you can find the guide here: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2636428863 pre-post-edit: Remembered something, you can tell if he'll go for sky force or not if fatalis is targeting the host in the specific turns he does either sky force/hellish flame. If he's not targeting the host, it's 100% sky force, if he is, it can be either, as he always targets the host when using hellish flame, but can also target the host with sky force. Think I wrote this in the guide somewhere lol :d post-post-edit: forgot to mention, but the tips in the guide are mostly targeted at coop, but some of it can be used when playing solo as well. I do go over his attack pattern though which is always the same for this specific quest (pretty sure this doesn't apply to the story mode fatalis). Soloing is a lot more tricky and luck dependent, because if something goes wrong in the last phase, it's really hard to recover, even positive things like crits at the wrong time can get you killed, as it can bring him low enough to proc his ultimate attack when you aren't ready for it, wiping your entire party in the process.
💀
I'd like to imagine that if Raging Brachydios got into this game, his kinship would've been him doing the first part of normal Brachy's kinship before he punches the ground hard enough to cause a massive nuke explosion.
One punch brachy 😂
The dawny crake being there makes it 10x better
Since I played Stories the first time, I've been wondering, if they would be canon to mainline, it wouldn't be necessary to slaughter everything. I mean those riders can befriend Deviljho, Bazelgeuse or Elder Dragons to a level to be safe around them.
I don't think capcom ever clarified this to us but if the stuff I've seem about monhun lore is true then yes it's canon.. to a degree. As in, riders do exist, but they live in isolation, they do befriend monsters, but only the more common/non-threatening ones (mostly bird wyverns like the dromes, some fanged beasts and, for the more skilled riders, flying wyverns like Rathian/Rathalos), and when it comes to the stories games you need to simplify what happens in the mainstory and accept that as what happened. Meaning: some bad thing happened that involved one of those isolated rider villages, they went out to solve the issue, after it's solved they went back, so it's very rare for "normal people" to ever see riders and some may live their whole lives without seeing one, only hearing about the legends. Most of what happens in the post game & most of the monster you can hatch are only there for gameplay purposes.. supposedly. In MHS2 they were trying to integrate with the outside world more so maybe in future (mainline) titles we'll see riders, or at the very least a direct mention of them. (..or not... I been very disappointed in capcom recently so my hopes for anything, be it for the mainline or stories, is basically negative right now haha)
Sophia: Ooh Brachydios-kun.....
no element buffs fatalis weapons?
Hi, by that you mean why I'm not using the "Dragon Boost (XL)" skill? If so it's quite simple, it's not a very good skill, it increases the damage by a flat amount and doesn't scale well into the end-game. And the reason I have "Non-Elem Atk Boost (XL)" is because of the Armor, which i was wearing purely for the other two skills ("Tenacity" and "Evasion Ability (L)"), so I couldn't remove it, and it was not increasing my damage either.

Bro is straight up a boxer ko'd that other monster i dont know the name
All my training has led to THIS MOMENT!!!!!
This is the culmination of YEARS of training!
Dude this is impressive!!! How long did it take to build this team and did you have to do online co op for your first fatalis kill? Over all this is insane and I can tell you put a lot of work into this.
haha thanks <3 This character has over 400 hours of playtime so I had pretty much everything I needed before the fatalis updates. but a few hours of grinding the right genes would be enough, though I would not recommend soloing at lower levels (like pre 80~ maybe), because when solo you will have to tank a few hits and a certain amount of HP is needed. I did do fatalis a few times before attempting solo but I don't think it's needed, your monstie and partner are the damage dealers here, the most important things are genes and level, and using the right weapons with the correct element (dragon) gives you a bit extra damage, which stacks up in a long fight like this.
@@Dwyriel thanks for the response! And wow that's some dedication. Also thanks for the advice. I'm new so this helps a lot!!! Also you earned a sub.
Wait, is this real or a really good edit??
It's real :D
Ma boi just flipped so hard
How can you activate the co op quests without an online player?
on the camp menu, second page, there's an option called "Start Now" which.. well starts the quest, and by doing that you play offline, if you had a buddy they'll come with you, otherwise you get a "random npc" (not any of the buddies, but a rider like the player)
yeah.. when the godtonoth, throw itself in and fatalis couldnt help but knock down.. when you realize that aptonoth has the kidney skill to knock down enemy.. well, he become the best monstie to have in team..
Apth isn't that good actually.. in fact it's quite bad overall, only useful in very few fights and even then under some specific situations (like when soloing fatalis, as you'll be able to kill it more consistently) otherwise it's always worse to have an apto around, as you'll deal less damage, thus taking longer to kill anything. It's "safer" but only if you don't know how to counter the monster you're fighting, which imo is quite easy after you learn their patterns. In other words, a well thought out team and knowledge about the fight is always going to be better.
@@Dwyriel you are right about this, a well thought team and counter is a must in this game. well, cant argue since i done the fatalis with my friend with 2 aptonoth as a jokes.. but the fact aptonoth first is just a sad looking monstie and it becomes a good monstie to counter some monster, makes it feel satisfied especially talking to friend who only tame the best monster but have a hard time beating fatalis.
I really would like to have the builds you are using for the Zinogre and the Aptonoth...Zinogre is amazing! every hit is a crit hit!! so curios...
Don't remember getting that many crits but yeah, dragon monsties can get quite high crit chance because of Critical XL (16%) and Dragon Surge (30%) + passive monstie crit rate (Stygian has 9%) so a total of 55% (you can get it higher with horn buffs). Sadly the tool I used to share builds seems to have died, so here are some images instead: Stygian Zinogre: imgur.com/a/HkuPFha Aptonoth: imgur.com/a/XS3Cm46 Hope that helps~
@@Dwyriel thank you so much for answering! really appreciated! I will try your build tonight...my compliments for your contents, I will subscribe right now! 😎

This is to go beyond: BLAST ULTRAA
"cmon brachydios! You have trained for these moment your whole life!!! REMEMBER THE BANANA THAT CAT THREW YOU"
Are you able to select what character will join in the battle or is it randomized?
Kind of, If you have an active battle buddy they'll join MP quests when you start it alone, if you don't then you get a random NPC.
@@Dwyriel, what would I need to do to have say Alwin or Kayna on my team? I haven’t played Stories 2 but eventually plan on doing so.
@@legomaster2538 After you finish the game you're free to select a battle buddy of your choice, so if you want Kayna for example all you need to do is talk to her and she'll join your party. Can't do that during story for.. well story reasons.
@@Dwyriel, thanks for the helpful tip 👍🏻
At first I thought this was edited in then I saw it
