I mean this argument is as old as the card itself at this point but imo no. It’s just really good value. Commander being a game mode where ramp is king kind of makes it seem so but ultimately it’s just a bonus card that fits into nearly any deck. It doesn’t do anything inherently crazy in a 100 card format besides accelerate the pace of a game by a turn, but the trade off being you turn a colored mana into two colorless for a turn, then it’s free fluff for the rest of the game.

The caution border also shows up for cards you have, but not in THAT version(not sure if it does on import too), so make sure you don't accidentally waste money on doubles you don't need like I did! You can hover to see if it says the card or version is missing.

Penny sleeves, I swear are only good if you're trying to bundle like 10 cards together. Way too big.

The baseball card secret lairs are selling for double the original secret lair price on tcgplayer and the signed versions are multiple hundreds of dollars. Like that secret lair is a wild success and was print to demand. The best secret lairs by value have been print to demand. This preprinted allows the situation of low demand lairs to be overprinted where that scenario just doesn't exist with print to demand. The limited print window is what generates the scarcity inherently. Preprint incentivizes scalpers, prevents willing buyers, and generates fewer sales than print to demand. Preprinting just creates new problems and solves none of the original problems.

There are multiple layers to this. 1) The notification system was broke (I personally had requested the notification and still not received it) 2) You could still join the que and wait for multiple hours but it had sold out 90 seconds after it went live 3) Clearly they super short printed the sets, without limiting the quantities. 4) The cards in the actual set are less valuable. I know multiple people have done price breakdowns but the monty python if you got the regular printing of the cards it would've only cost $26.

Pauper is one of my favorite formats. I like brewing unique builds. I have made a mono green midrange, black burn, mono blue tron, izzet blitz, and even an orhzov extort deck. The options are endless.

I believe centering is the toughest part to grading. To have PERFECT centering is rare which is why I believe you can have a 8.5 for centering & 10’s on everything else & still get a 10 grading. They’re be lenient. The AI they use probably is able to get it 100% correct. I’m just guessing though.
