On July 3-4, 2024, I traveled to the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in Bryson City, NC to celebrate the return of their steam locomotive, No. 1702. I began by chasing the ferry move from Dillsboro to Bryson City on the 3rd, and chased the Nantahala Gorge train on Independence Day.
