Their glory has been taken away from them,. They can't be in the barrack, do you know how much they make in mounting roadblocks and extorting money from people? By extorting they earn more money than those working in oil companies, so they can't let go. What about the repentant gbokoharams that have joined them? Do you know how much they make in kidnapping? You totally missed the point here. Ever since the Nigerian soldiers captured the entity called Nigeria through the instrument of the 1999 constitution. The Nigerian soldiers totally abolished the usefulness of the Nigerian police. The soldiers became demonized and monetize. You also forgot to mention the importation of foreign fighters, promising them lands and moving them to the east to encourage them to extort money from the innocent and unsuspecting people. The soldiers brought the insults upon themselves. And the truth be told, people are totally fed up with the misconducts of the soldiers and the Nigerian state. But the COAS and chief of defence staff don’t give a damn if a soldier is suffering as long as they the boss keeps cashing in at the detriment of the young ignorant soldiers. It is an old racket in the Nigerian Army. Buratai benefited so much from this , and you didn’t mention the infiltration of terrorist among the Nigerian soldiers and lack of trust on the leadership of the organization. So please learn to do a proper homework before taking sides with anyone.
