This is right off the San Gabriel Canyon OHV area, by the ranger station. Not sure about procedure for getting the gate open.

1st gear. 8mph. Lean back. Grip bike with legs. COVER FOOT BRAKE. Hold clutch. 8Krpm. Pop clutch. Prepare to use foot brake so you don't loop yourself.

ITS LOUD, it sounds like a riding mower. Don't get it if you don't want a loud exhaust.

@@dunchooby Yeah, I got it. Its definitely loud. Ear plugs are imperative, if you plan on going over 45. It seems quiet enough below that though.

Justin Hermann what about the r77 Yoshimura exhaust is it more louder then that

@@hartejgirn6506 Ive never had that exhaust so I dont know. But I can tell you that its about as loud (at highway speeds, 60+mph) as putting your head next to a loud generator.

The cheapest chinese bar end mirrors I could find off amazon, really cant see anything out of them but they pass for "legal" mirrors.

Yeah it is, it puts premature wear on your clutch. But you prob wont keep the bike long enough to ever notice the damage.

Chain stretch as well, and wear on sprockets

Lots of dealers in Southern Cali are selling them for $3500 new. So I figure maybe 2000-2500 for a decent used one? This exhaust sucks you lose the low end torque. Good luck hope you can find a nice one.

couple small issues in 3 years of ownership. Had the water pump rebuilt with 500 miles and crank shaft recall around 6k miles. Crank shaft recall affected every cbr300r and cb300f, basically free motor rebuild. Its been trouble free since then and I beat the piss out of it every ride.

i like it but its a rip, i think it was $3000 more on top of the regular price of a scout for that green paint job

I really liked it but my mistake was test riding the Africa Twin right before the rally. It literally felt like a toy after that. Horses for courses as they say, the Rally felt slow and under-powered on the freeway and had trouble getting up to speed but I'm sure its amazing off road.

They have a break in period. After that it’s a little bit more powerful.

Never had any issues with check engine lights or anything. I switched out the whole system now, running something quieter

I still have it but the rivets that hold it together on the inside fell apart so it rattles like a trash can full of metal.
