I have something that is almost 100% identical to this but the circular base at the bottom of mine is starting to rot and break apart, any ideas on how to fix this?

I live on Cape Cod, and all we really have are pitch (scrub) pines here. I am new to this art form, but plan to do more when I retire from teaching. Where do you get your logs? Take care.
