This is the Granite Hills High School Chamber Chorale performing at the NAU Jazz/Madrigal festival 2024. At the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Flagstaff, AZ. 2/8/24. I'm super proud of this group. They received a score of superior, and were 2 points away form a perfect rating.

Every other year The Granite Hills Choir holds a Renaissance Madrigal Dinner. This was the performance from 2023. We have Teresa, Zion, Shayne, Daalen, Matthew, and Jasper are the main actors in the show.

what is the point of the hand signals, thanks!
They are called Curwen Hand Signs. The thought is that they are visual & physical representation of how high or low the pitch is. When you do the hand signs you start low DO at your belly button and they move up as the pitch ascends. High DO is about forehead height. The act of making a physical hand sign for each solfege trains your brain and helps the memory for that pitch.
