I'm not sure what it was like before. This was my first trip there. My take away and first impressions is , friendly people,cleaner than I thought , good transport, some neat spots or attractions, food & hotels were expensive or as much as the west or Singapore, and not much street food. This video and others are about the travel experiences to give others an idea about possible destinations you might consider. Yeah, I don't know about long-term stay, but it is worth a visit for 3-5 days .Thanks for your feedback and watching.

Yes, cool street life and scenic places that are not too far apart and surprisingly easy to get around in Hong Kong. I would have shown more places, but it was raining 80% of our trip but kind of added a rain element backdrop in some places but kept us from doing everything. But we did get to do a few things, and I think it's worth a 3 - to 5-day trip for sure.

Yes, the Mall you mentioned looks like a good place to go if you're up that way. There are so many great malls in Bangkok . But this video and a few others I did was focusing on folks that either never been to Bangkok or they want to know the ways down to town and what is on those routes really near the train . Additionally, any alternative route from or to DMK besides the traditional ways which this was via the Pink Line. Because normally, me and others would go straight from DMK to Bangsue and beyond . So for me I wanted not only a alternative route but a pit stop halfway between Bangkok and Don Mueang Airport but near the train and Airport to eat and maybe do a little shopping before or after a flight so hence Lak Si. It's not the best mall, but it's more about location and logistics, but I try to make videos where you or anyone gets something out of it. I think I mentioned it was during flight or airport flight and arrival hours but if not they do have a website and hours change but right now it's 0530 to midnight but you have to be on the last train before midnight to catch it at certain stations mrt and Bts skytrain similar to srt red Line and long distance srt various times by destination, hope this helps I will put on screen most of the time but things were changing frequently around a year or so ago so

I think when I was filming & editing this video I was a little drained . Plus sometimes a lot is going on and I go back and fourth with this and other projects. I try to be upbeat usually when passing on information ,you know I been trying to do youtube full time but it takes a while to build it up, not everyone goes viral and even then doing it over and over is hard, and building on followers,subs , hours watched , and affilates etc... I actually went from a few subs and a few videos to over 7000 and over 100 videos fairly quick ,plus other life stuff,I try to make videos about the place with music not about me . I have been in the videos more recently ,checkout some of my other videos I'm more upbeat but,like I said sometimes I'm just drained or something during certain weeks and trying to keep it going,thanks for watching.

I feel your pain or understand . I'm basically living of investments and planning , if this Channel doesn't work and I run out of money then back to the grind in the USA, and some things are good in my life there but some bad or more or less needed change of scenery. You can do it, save your money, and then watch Plan and Go !

@@Ansonsjourney Thank you! I already saved up £45k cash and planning to go back in December and stay till end of April then back to the grind again. Luckily I make around £18k a month being a software engineer but do am truly sick of this job and UK and want to move elsewhere. Maybe I'll open a bar for expats. We will see

This was just quick look at local life outside off all the tourist areas and I think not many people see. I don't know if your in Thailand but most people of course gravitate to the Hotspots like, Bangkok, Phuket, krabi, Pattaya, Chaing Mia and they all have something to offer, but if someone has time and it's the right season I think people never get to see the real local markets, Festivals or places in Thailand . To answer your question this is the SRT station Downtown Buriram, Several things it's known for there, Cool local festivals in the area depending on tbe season, Most successful Football team in Thailand with huge stadium and other events ,International Moto GP race event and Track, And some cool places Plus lots of history. This is where Rama one started the Dynasty and glory of there kingdom . But also you can fly to some cities cheap or take SRT train real cheap , few others Roi et good day trip, Korat has lots of things there to nearby. I hope this helps. Yep the Metro station is not exactly in the Airport it is across the street,via a long zig zag hall way and then a Man bridge. Yes if you're elder or don't like walking much and someone has been traveling all day grab a Taxi. But the walk is not to bad once you figure it out, plus if you have never been up on the Train platform you get a scenic Airport over view a great place to see the Airport Ramp and photo opportunity. I have done both Taxi and Train really it mostly depends on your time and if you normally catch trains and walk. I might do a updated video soon of a mix of both and more insight on both train and Taxi there, thanks for watching.

Yes you can buy Sim cards at most 7-11 with Passport or local ID, there will also be booths in the arrival halls at DMK and BKK airports for cell service like Ais, True and Dtac which is the three carriers in Thailand, I use AIS plus they have Asia add plan with data everywhere in Southeast Asia for an Xtra charge that can be added at a the main cell store like at the malls, hope this helps

@@Ansonsjourney usually at 7-Eleven you can get SIM cards that are much cheaper than buying from the official booth at airports I know they have at 7-Eleven at Suvarnabhumi but don't know at DMK

At 711, they only sell True sim cards, but they don't sell AIS sim cards. However, you should know that the AIS 5G network signal is available all over Thailand. Even in distant mountain forests, which True still can't do as well as AIS

I like checking out new places especially if it's out of the heat and has great food options. Paragon can get a little busy but Central World is busy but not as bad but of course Bangkok is a big populated city and popular so it's expected. Yeah some of the more well known malls are busy especially depending on the time of the day . When I first came to Thailand I was amazed at the malls and happy to get out of the heat for a few hours, hence making my beat the heat series . I figured some first timers or comers to Thailand or South East Asia would want to know about the more popular places to go to escape the heat even though Thailand has some amazing outdoor spaces and destinations , speaking of which is coming next after I finish MALLS ( Must see or recommended Destinations) , thanks for watching and your comment.

Yes Bangkok nightlife can be fun . I don't go out to clubs much anymore or go to lady Bars . But occasionally I have a little fun and get my kicks somewhere. I find that who you're with and your personality have an effect on your day or evening sometimes more than the where. But watching videos knowing what you can expect helps on the what and where , cheers, take care.
