    This is extremely interesting. I really haven’t seen anyone discuss her life or death from this perspective. It does make sense though, that she may not know how to handle situations and emotions on her own. I do feel like Bail Organa counts more as a friend than a boss, but I agree he wasn’t really someone Padme probably felt she could confide in like her handmaidens or Anakin. Good luck with your channel :)

    What you are describing is similar to how the Sith used to make their lightsaber crystals before Disney. They made artificial crystals by gathering materials and forging them in a furnace while meditating and focusing the force through them. IIRC, Luke did something similar in Shadows of the Empire, which was set before ROTJ.

    • @starwarsdistrict

    • @starwarsdistrict
      @starwarsdistrict 14 дней назад

      I like that theory a lot, but after reading the Padme Trilogy novels, it shows that Padme was really reliant on her handmaidens. Her slow isolation from them and Padme getting married without them was a major issue. Even the wedding dress she wore in the movie got her into trouble with Sabe. The Sabe aspect of her death might be more valid than anything.

    • @emperorsean1
      @emperorsean1 11 дней назад

      @@starwarsdistrictNo it doesn't. Padmes handmaidens new of her and anikans wedding in the movie and in episode 3 . In the star wars dictionary the handmaidens were their in Padmes apartment in episode 3. They informed Padme when anikan was arriving or there. Captain Panaka also informed the Chancellor of their marriage. Yoda killing Padme makes no sense for his character. It makes sense for him to split the children up to preserve the Jedi order but not to kill Padme. There's a star wars Marvel comic series that has Padmes hand maidens seek revenge on Darth Vader for killing her.

    I have another theory I think Palpatine used Pademe to manipulate Anakin from the time they met. • @starwarsdistrict

      I will definitely admit that Palpatine is very crafty and plans schemes with multiple backups. He could have been thinking of many ways to manipulate Anakin. If not Padme or his mother; Palpatine would have used whatever methods to control the situation that is Anakin.

    There are a few things about this movie that I hate: that "explosion" sound right before Dooku says, "I've been looking forward to this"- what is it meant to show? It just seems to be some random sound thrown in for no reason. And how Grevious is a coughing (without ANY explanation in the MOVIES) punk, who runs like a coward from any fight, unlike the bad@ss seen in "Clone Wars"; the little "squeechy" noise that happens after Anakin cuts Dooku's head off; The little "GIT!!!" Palpy says which is totally out of his character; the stupid, chattering "vulture droids"; but, MOST OF ALL, that stupid lightsaber twirling thingy that has no battle pourpose, other then to show our 2 main characters doing some "cool" swirly lightsaber stuff. You may get the idea that I hate the movie from this: I DON'T. But they ARE little details that drive me up the wall.

      @toddkurzbard No I get it. You like the movie but have a few grievances. The explosion... if I remember correctly is about the battle of Coruscant. Some tense battles occurred. I view Anakin as the Force given flesh, both the Jedi and the Sith desire to use it for their own ends pulling it in multiple ways. Anakin is treated similarly he viewed as someone meant to be used by them more then anything else. I hope you don't take my disagreement as a criticism as much as a different point of view but in truth until I see more of this next trilogy No one in the pre-existence or during the time they knew Rey had enough time to teach her anything As much as we would like to believe that somehow through osmosis she got a crash course on the mastery of the Force and never any of the dark side rubbing off on her through kylo or snoke!

    The most people forgot, to be in the story, that Rey has grown up in a hostile environment on this desert planet, from orphan to a young woman. She has had to fight thenceforth, to survive, since her parents was gone. Luke instead grown up well protected, as a farmer. No fights, up to shooting the banta rats from his glider. He had must to become a warrior. Rey was long ago a skilled worrior, life long trained, since her her childhood, through her gifted bloodline and because of the experiences on the desert plaet. She has survived the hostile environment there, on this desert planet, think about that. She wasn't beamed there suddenly in. And after that all, than she recognized who she really is and discovered the force. So she simply is only a newbie to the force, she has had to ad the use of force to her skills, but very talented through her bloodline. And through her strong blood line, she was gifted, too. Luke, from a strong blood line too, but instead, has had to learn all from the beginning. To be a worrior, to use the force, develope a strong will, and so on. She didn't. I also believe he wanted to have Vader's full loyalty to himself not to Padme who frequently disagreed with him politically. Your theory does give a better reason for Yoda to stay on Dagobah, but it just doesn't seem consistent with Yoda's character. He was far to disciplined to give in no matter how desperate he felt in any given moment.

      Admittedly, yes some parts were a stretch about Yoda. I still believe that Yoda has never truly been tested in a very long time. Yes he is disciplined and a veteran master but keep in mind for generations no Jedi was stronger than him, he ran the high council for years (no body really ever voted against him), I believe only one Jedi as ever beat him in a sparring match and he has tons of force powers/abilities. It is possible in my mind that when he finally came across a challenge (Sidious) in a 1 vs 1 battle and he realized that he could not win; plus his loss meant the Jedi were demolished completely. Everyone has a breaking point. He did something dark (Kill Padme) and then he realized it was not the way. Thus regret and isolation.

      @@starwarsdistrict Possible, sure I'll concede that, but it still seems more likely that Palpatine did it to both empower and manipulate Vader. I believe I read somewhere that Vader came to this conclusion as well. However, the one thing that does support your theory is that it better explains why Yoda would stay on Dagobah for so long. Especially for that reason, your theory cannot simply be rejected. Besides, it is fun to speculate about.

      She may have been sad and hurt over Anakin but she was aware that she was giving birth. In reading novels surrounding Padme it was clear that she wanted her own family. Padme came from a loving and supportive family. She did alot of work for others her entire career (as Queen and Senator) but deep down she wanted a family. I strongly believe she would not kill her self when she was about to have her kids.

    No one failed Anakin, no one betrayed him. His fall was entirely self-inflicted by his arrogance, his greed, his desire to have both Padme and the Order, and his obsessiveness. He was, quite simply, a bad person. We even see in the movies that he is a bratty, immature man-child with the emotional control and discipline of a toddler despite having been raised by the Jedi. He also didn't seem to ever understand that just because he wants something doesn't mean the universe is going to bend over, kiss his ass, and give him what he wants on a silver platter.

      @@starwarsdistrict I thought you’d said in another comment that it was twice during ten years? And in any case, Padmé wasn’t exactly lounging around for those ten years. She was Queen of a whole planet, and then Senator for it. The fact that she juggled that with spending her personal wealth to free slaves for multiple years and tried to go out of her way to free a specific slave is admirable. And Shmi lived a free life for her last few years anyways, happily married and loved. Anakin’s fall had many factors leading up to it from many sources, but the person who’d failed him the most was undoubtedly himself. He made the decision in the end to trust a man who he logically knew had plunged the galaxy into war and whose apprentice had endorsed attempts at assassinating Padme. Even without the benefit of knowing that Palpatine was faking being helpless any rational person would know he couldn’t be trusted by both physical evidence and logical deductions. Even says it in the Kenobi finale to the one person who would feel the most responsible for his fall: “You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker; I did.”
