Not sure how you take an encouraging and helpful video for mothers to be able to give their babies breast milk and turn into something negative. Babies need to be fed in order to live. Not every mother can directly breastfeed for VARIOUS reasons as I mentioned just 4:35 minutes into the video. It’s just not realistic in todays world. Don’t make moms feel bad about that. This is the next best option! Pumping is such an AMAZING tool to give the baby those nutrients. So sad to see a comment so discouraging for new moms just feeding their babies in a way that works best for them in order to keep their babies alive and healthy 💔 (And if the baby ever consumes formula because the mom can’t directly nurse or pump, she is still keeping the baby alive by feeding them. In some other countries the mom would not be able to keep the baby because formula doesn’t even exist. Formula is also a GREAT tool.) I had to include that for any new moms reading this and feeling guilty, please don’t. You’re doing so amazing. 💓

I believe that every mother has the right to choose the easiest way to feed her baby, the most comfortable way for her and for her baby. I will not judge her if she chooses any way of feeding. (Nursing directly or pumping or fresh milk or vegetarian milk or formula… ) I had an experience with my first baby that lead me to think pumping and formula are consuming and exhausting. I choose nursing directly and I insisted on it because it is the most easy way and more comfortable for me and my baby. Even it has its own difficulties. I know not all moms are capable to nurse directly, every mother has her own condition that why I am not judging. Also I don’t think that the hard or expensive way is wrong, The options are varies . My first comment was about the thumb picture. And as you having an experience on pumping and you encouraging the mothers how choose pumping, I will be the person how encourage the mothers how choose nursing directly. Nursing directly is not just about the precious nutritious milk it is also about the bounding between the mother and the baby, also for the physical and psychological health for both. Originally I was going to just use the plastic table covers on the floor with no kiddie ball pit underneath, I figured I was avoiding getting the rug soaked with water. I ended up doing something different but just kept them there. Good question haha

yes i feel the same sometimes! i have that rule for when i get home sometimes, no sitting until everything is unpacked/put away/dinner is made/ etc.

love this thank you so much 💓 despite being able to get a cheap kiddie pool at the store i didn’t have a car this day and couldn’t bring myself to pay extra for shipping but i wanted to take advantage of the beautiful day so i did what i could with what i had ☺️ it also gave me something to work on which helped pass the time on those days that it feels like the clock is just not moving, creativity is rewarding!

not really, it’s still something you can hear as the suction pulls and releases but it’s really nothing too loud

Adding vinegar and salt works too! I work in a restaurant where we boil hundreds of eggs a week, and the vinegar and salt help the shells come off easier.

aw im glad to hear 🥹 i was sooo used to working to sustain myself too so this was a big switch and there might be growing pains along the way but once things settle down you really learn how capable you are! being a sahm is still work just a different kind so the structure is still needed and it’s definitely possible 💓 congrats :)

oh no please don’t feel behind! 😭 trust me im almost 11 months pp and i JUST *started* really feeling like myself again and like the world isn’t upside down anymore and i’m finally beginning to feel confident again. this video was definitely me just getting back into it and there’s been lots of ups and downs since then. don’t put pressure on yourself. moms do so much 🥲 i’m sure you’re doing an amazing job!! there’s no rush 💓

Keep going don’t get discouraged. Pumping on top of nursing really helped my supply

thank you and congrats!! ☺️ yes it’s super helpful for us! we actually use it as his crib bc of the small space we have. although we put toys in there to keep him entertained in one spot whenever we need to do something where we can’t see him like shower or laundry. we love it!
