127.....All midi values (knobs and sliders etc...) go to 127 Basically the way a MIDI message is constructed means it can often only count up to 127 (which is 128 values if you include zero). Because of 8 bit.......

It maxes out at 127 because computers use numbers that are 2 to the power of something. 2 to the power of 7 is 128, which is expressed as 0-127 If we got more resolution in a future sp404 it would almost definitely be 0-255
