Lemme do the math

So if it's a 3 | 2 which is, I believe, the most common type of blitz; that means combined they used up 2:52 combined without the 2 second move gain. Take the 2*60 to get 172 seconds then add the 33*2*2 for 2 second gain. 33*2*2=132. 172+132=304. That means that collectively, they used 5 minutes and 4 seconds of time. If this is just a 3 minute game with no move gain then they collectively used 2 minutes and 52 seconds. Now if we go for averages (I'll have to use a calculator or paper now for the first time this comment) for 3 | 2 with 304 seconds the average seconds per move is 304/(33*2) which means about 4.6 seconds per move. Without time gain you get 172 seconds which you do the same with and you get 2.6 seconds per move.
