Gospel Pass Ascent from Hay on Wye - cycling the highest road in Wales!!
The lads weekend trip to the Brecon Beacons had its queen stage on the Sunday with a magnificent gran fondo (100k) with 2100m of climbing, with maximum KOM points awarded atop the Gospel Pass, highest road in Wales. Jacob Cann was irrepressible in his climbing prowess, and I did my level best to keep him in my sights whilst battling with LukeyB for that second spot.

Teddy Hall Relays is organised by Oxford's Cross Country Club (OUCCC) and happens at Iffley Road Track, the site of the first sub 4 mile. 4 legs of around 7km round Oxford and Christchurch Meadow, starting and finishing on the track, makes this a fun race with a stadium! Join for a morning at Uni Parks Parkrun! Excitingly, this week coach included parkrun on the training plan: 5k steady at 830am (19:34), 5k threshold (16:24) at 9am (Parkrun). So there we go! My first video - watch for a classic parkrunday morning. I asked my coach for an alternative session to include a parkrun because I love it, and he delivered: 5k tempo (which I ran more of a stempo at 3'35, 18:17 for 5.1k) 5*90s hard (averaged 3:15/k) Brings me to 70k for the week, 20k long run with 5 steady k's to finish on the cards tomorrow! Was walking out that way last summer as part of offa's dyke...it's class
Yeah we passed a sign for Offa's dyke on the way up! Awesome scenery, my parents recently did that walk and loved it too

@@therunclingbrad I'm a massive lover of track to be honest lol, Much prefer road. Did the Westminster mile last month. Although I have my first 10k track race in two weeks 🤦🏿♂️
A suggestion for next time might be to include some pre and post race interviews with the other Sussex athletes. .
