This popped in my recommendations and my eyes popped out jaw drop OLY MOLY thee most important toy video EVER. I say because Metroplex is my favorite transformer. Your intro about him, and closing remarks is so true and real LITERALLY what makes him so good. The first image I ever saw of him was in an IDW comic screenshot, where he is like "Do not worry about a thing, Windvoice" (sometihng like that) before he and Windblade work together on, Something. Ive chosen to not know the full context of that story, as that plus your remarks on Metroplex's character, mean something deeply personal to me. "One of best looking toy designs--" SO TRUE!! Maketoys Utopia is SUCH a gorgeous figure, been wanting him for along time, I want him one day, Id say thats the Metroplex I want down. Also, the huge print of Metroplex that was posing around at TFConLa this year. Also the huge (i think) 4-5ft tall Metroplex I saw pictures of that was floating around on the internet some time ago. Lost my mind at TFCon when FoC Metroplex was announced! I wasnt in the room but I did show his picture to all of my friends in any convo that night, ahaha. I think hes kinda ugly but A Metroplex is a Metroplex and his story is bittersweet. Would LOVE to have him and a Plant X Apocalypse FoC Trypticon (even tho yes he doesnt fight Trypticon in game). Like, I never spend so much on Transformers figures, often getting them second hand or in a trade, but I think I have to shell it out for those two. Dr Wu Metroplex is definitely preordered from me. Usually Id draw while passively watching a video but had to watch this 100%. Watched this with my g1 Metroplex and Siyang Culture Vladvidistok Metroplex on my desk (They were there anyway but ahaha) . Curious as to what were the lyrics (?) shown with the images of Metroplex toward the end. Great video, sorry for the essay here, I just LOVE Metroplex he is the transformer ever, love seeing others also feel similar about him <3

I'm pretty biased towards legacy metroplex because he's packed with articulation and got him for 110$. Less than a commander in my area.

What a coincidence, since I just got a used copy of the Legacy Titan class toy of him, partially to finish my collection of all the different Cybertron Planet leaders. Maybe because he's my first titan, but by Primus does he have presence. His proportions are honestly immaculate. Definitely still throwing my wallet for when the 01 Studio Cell comes out, since, like many, his FOC iteration is ingrained in my memory.

I remember playing the cybertron games with my dad when i was younger. He grew up with the 84 series (he and his brothers were born mid 70s-early 80s), so he knew many of the characters in the games and was glad he identified them. I distinctly remember how excited my dad was when Metroplex showed up. Its one of the characters i associate with someone irl than i do the characters themselves (idk how to word it properly lol). Similar to that, I associate Omega Supreme with my uncle because he told me a story about how he held a grudge against his cousin because he broke the toy during the transformation lol. These videos are always a treat after my Friday shifts (which are my longest in my week). Keep up the good work!

15:27 I do have the sdcc thrilling 30's metroplex and while yes he's missing the non transforming small guys and a scamper, he still has such a presence locked away in storage because I have no room to display him

when i finally decided to buy some transformers recently, soundwave was at the top of my list for must buy characters, and i think i hit the jackpot with a Kingdom Core Class Soundwave, cause he's basically just a G1 Soundwave, but mini, and i love it so much

Free thrilling 30 Metroplex. I just want to rub that in some more. But I had a chance to get G1 Metroplex recently and I blew it, shame seeing as that toy has tue most convincing city mode imo next to Brave Maximus.

i hope we get another run at a titan class g1 metroplex, the engineering of titans has evolved so much since he hit the scene and it would be well worth revisiting him. it has been over a decade since that first titan, after all. i would settle for a reissue though, i just really want him on shelves and in my collection, he deserves to stand tall with my other titans

I think a lot of Metroplex's mental and self-doubt problems would be solved if his third form was a spaceship. Then he could fly in the sky and space. And you know how important spaceships are to the Transformers franchise and how often they see action.

Nice!! Titans are so fun lore-wise and I really love Metroplex and Windblade. You definitely have plenty of requests already but maybe Omega Supreme (I love how he appears out of nowhere in g1 and then gets a tragic backstory with the constructicons that contradicts their other two backstories), or Trans-mutate (She's one of my favorites in Uprising and it seems like she has at least a couple toys between her different versions)?

Wasn't there some third party making a human-sized metroplex? Or was it just 3D printed?

Almost all of the G1 toys that weren't repurposed toys from other brands like Diaclone were just awful. Ironic that toys designed to specifically be a Transformer were garbage. Can't say that about Metroplex though. Sure it was probably easier to design him because his alt nodes didn't need to be some sort of vehicle or plane, but that doesn't take away how great he was. Looked great in all his modes. He was quality as well. Nothing cheap about him. There is one big problem with him though, but it's not exclusive to him. His size and power kinda broke the Transformer universe. It was already a little tough to believe that both sides weren't almost always using their combiners but it's really tough to believe that the Titan bots wouldn't be used all the time since none of the regular bots could do much against a titan. The reason given just doesn't cut it for me.

Metroplex has never been 'Autobot City', he's far too small. I think they corrected the cartoon once, showing him as Part of Autobot City....sort of attached to the front of it.

Amazing video! I love Dr. Wu's Metroplex because I ADORE Micromasters. I don't know why, nor do I have any reasons, but I love them.

I think trypticon could be great for the next “every toy of” and then that could lead into “every toy of Sixshot” who is both Ultra Magnus’ rival and commander of trypticon base in the headmasters anime.

This is why I love getting out of school and watching RUclips
