I have somewhere between 1 and 6 oiled and ready with a freshy in the bike depending on where I am in the “cycle”..I clean them with mineral spirits and then Dawn. Dry in the sun. Re oil, Re grease the lip and go!

LOL.. I was telling myself there at the end of my race "man, I could be sitting on the porch having a cold one right now...". I 'enjoyed' the race the more that time passes between then and now and memory of troubles fades. :D

Oh man! I see a lot of guys on 350’s and 450’s. Too much bike for me! I’ve never owned a 4stroke that wasn’t street legal. LOL I like my low rev’s on the 300’s. I bet you were lightning in the open though! Hopefully you and the bike got out unharmed . 👍

@@jamesohoh7 Awesome! Glad to have you! It really is a great way to spend a weekend. It does get easier, but you will almost always want to quit, the trick is to keep going. No matter how slow…😂 I was almost going backwards the 4th lap.

Hang in there sir. I am 59 and have done 3 and was not able to make that race. Yeah having to lift a bike or crashing zapps what little energy I may have. Lol. I am slow but it does seem to get a little easier.

One of the reasons I didn't race after the practice lap. At 58 I am looking for fun not work LOL. Congrats on the finish, what class did you run?

@@jmx7656 I loved it. I just sold a 300RR that I had modified substantially to fix some of the issues with it. (Mainly suspension). I retroed WP Closed Cartridge forks on it to replace the Sachs and liked it enought that I completely rebuilt the bike, motor, and wearables. (It was a 2015). This one is great out of the box. Before that I had KTM 300XC’s etc. For me, the Betas are a better woods bike and just very “rideable”. I’m not the greatest rider by far, but that is the first ride above, and I was just as in control at the same speeds as I was on the bike I had been riding every weekend for over a year. I will own another one after this probably.

It’s worth noting that I had not set the sag or done anything to it before I rode it. Other than raise the forks in the triple clamps about 6mm. So I expect it to get even better. Also, the throttle response was a bit better than my other one. It will really dig out of those lower rpms.

It feels very similar to my regular 300RR. Just better….if that makes sense.

@@rocks4brains there was, but not bad. The way the course was split, it put some sand in both starting areas from the same area, but different ends. It was really well laid out.

My external battery glitched again. I gave you a shout out on the last lap. I said that you should have come. You would have loved the "black cinder sand." LOL But the battery had died so I was apparently just talking to myself.

Yes. But it really sucks finding and pulling matching clips from two different memory cards. 😂 I was up till 1:30, and much Buffalo Trace was harmed in the making of this film. 😂🤣

It really is. I'm not 100%, but from what I have been told, it is the original AMA track layout still from the 70's. It's a classic. You can still be hurt, but the consequences for over or under jumping are not as severe.
