So, I had a hard time with this show. She was so mean and degrading all the time to Ray. And I feel like he had to be passive and play along with being a dummy. It’s pretty accurate to many marriages but I didn’t like it.
True I had some issues with the relationship too. I noticed in one of the few episodes they were non verbally expressing their love for eachother. Similar to Frank and Marie.... Following the same patterns.

Marie was nasty to Debra, which caused her to take out her frustration on Ray. The biggest problem was that Ray NEVER stood up for Debra when it came to Marie.
