Uncover the Surprising Difference Between Single and Double Portable Cookers for Family Camping!
What a brilliant idea and thank you very kindly now I can fix the problem with a simple coat hanger 👌🏽
About to do the same thing with the same fridge. I've got a Mercedes Sprinter and the back of the fridge will be resting up against the wall of the van. Planning on cutting a hole in the side of the van to blow out the hot air and maybe a hole through the bottom of the van to suck cool air up. Looking forward to seeing how you go!
Yea seems to be popular fridge for the sprinters Vent out via cabinet would be an idea depending on vents in sliding door I know some have 2 vents inside 2 outside and draft is intense but if block off a vent in door adding venting for fridge outside may also help to
Boom! Welcome to Ute Life :p
Back to money pit life haha Lucky I work at baby yoda hey
Great info, thank you! Would the single burner stove put out enough heat to cook a steak nicely?
From my experience it does but depending on quality of pan will determine how long will take
@@Gonebushaus thank you!
@bentravis99 no problem at all
Make a half hoop using 1-inch AG pipe from Bunnings. 😊 Since it's too long to store rolled up in the swag, cut it in the middle and use a short piece of hose as a joiner. This way, you can connect the two pieces and prop up the half hoop about halfway down inside your swag. It eliminates the sag without getting in the way. 😉 👍 🇦🇺
can you mount an xtm side wall this way as well?
Very good question I have not owned a xtm wall only kings and can’t remember the mounting points on xtm if it’s same as kings being Velcro tabs and Insert plastic on end to slide into track. Looking at website only mentions hook and loop straps and looks like Velcro in pic connecting to awning for side of awning
Polyurethane Sausage and an electric gun will see you right. 100% on the automatic gun, the shit is thick as fuck. Use it to pack the gap between the body and the timber and no more leaks 🤘. Pump that shit in and leave it 24-48 hours and it’ll set beautifully (but can’t smear it as good as silicone, so tape and spatula, or hide it 😂) How much weight difference would alloy box tube be vs the timber supports?
@@gnome4x480 timber support is slightly heavier maybe 1.5kg total so far but timber is way way cheaper haha Auto caulking gun is absolutely on the cards with all this silicone needed
Think will near be silicone van not ally van 🤣
Umm, 🤨 what are we looking at? Is that a mini fridge?

I too have this charger but the 30 amp 3 output model. Very good charger but it does get hot. I posted a video about it on RUclips today ( it was my first video) check it out if you want. I also subbed to your channel. God bless you and your family
Thanks mate will give your channel a look. Thanks for watching subscribing and commenting

Thanks for watching

Great review mate. Straight to the point and covered it nicely. Might have to go get one of these bad boys. Cheers.
Cheers mate hope it helped
Sees " under" $100 I can't see that
Hi James at time of filming I purchased for $99 have link in description for Bunnings Australia store it is listed on site for $99.99 so under $100. Below is link for product at Bunnings big I can see eBay listings for $129-$140 suggest would be Bunnings is cheaper and under $100 hope this helps www.bunnings.com.au/gasmate-turbo-butane-portable-stove-and-pot-set_p0442263
What about the rubber bottoms? Are they all just worn through out of the box ?
Not sure on that one had never noticed any wear on base of mine when I had it. Sorry can’t help with that one
@Gonebushaus I took it back today and got a replacement, all is cool as a cucumber, apparently I bought the only 2 defective ones hahaha just my bloody luck
if you tour in a jeep your used to danger buddy
Haha Has done us well that same strip of highway countless times down to vic and back and across into qld and down as well 27,000km in last 8 months half way round Australia. But yea sure are use to danger 🤣
And a slow one including breakdowns.
@@wyattfamily8997 not so many now haha jeep has been the most reliable rig we have driven so far
165cm high? If you can't stand up in it, a dealbreaker for me. 2 months camping every year, now on year 4 of my Aldi tent at around same price as this. 2.2m high.
My Mrs got her earring caught doing this at 1 in morning CRICKY though the bloody Yowie got her mate 😳🤣🤣🤣
Oh shit that’s crazy was it from hack or just the sag in the swag Hope she is all good
Thank you for showing us this fantastic hack for us claustrophobic campers.
That’s ok mate yea know the feeling you get all that space inside and have so much taken by the dam doors sag
Very nice
Lincoln parrot
Everywhere here at the moment friendly birds that’s for sure
hahaha :)
The pole along the top I went and bought another two poles. I got the canvas people too put eyelets in both ends and no sag at all
Have heard a number of people mention that hack sounds like worth a try also
Wtf😂
Dumb asses
Lol
All good just need a stretcher to fit
I see the Klondike stretcher will be the best fit I’m in contact with them now
Let`s travel! 🚙🚗🚕✈ 🌍🌎🌏🌍
Yeah, ik
Crazy
It now comes with the plastic stabiliser for the bottom of the gas cylinder!
That would have been nice from beginning 🤦♂️
Put the lid on you gronk
I use two bungee cords from the end tent peg to each side of the half hoops on each side , pulls all the sag right out
That’s an idea will have to give that a try
Keep up the good work mate
Cheers mate
Looks good, keen for the rest of the series 🤙
When it rains it pours 😳
Thansk for great demo. Flame looks strong. Will it work in negative temperature, -5 c or colder? How long can one cylinder last?
Very good questions Given I live in the centre of Aus can’t say had much experience with any of my camping gear at those temp ranges. This is also a new product so have not had much time to use it at this point. Cylinder usage would honestly depend on what brand of cylinder you use the frequency of use and the setting you use it on high low mid, Experience from our use the cheaper ones do not last as long as the more expensive ones we find the more expensive ones last longer. Sorry not much help on this one currently
thanks@@Gonebushaus
After testing over last months since your comment I have tested in cold temps lowest being -1 highest being 42. -1 issues not so much the stove but the gas can it’s self cheap vs brand cans had a big difference cheap the flames were affected lower flames and restricted flow over round flame ring the branded cans slightly affected but was only slightly lower flame so turning up fixed that. Higher temps flames higher on both cheap and branded no real restrictions otherwise. Usage length of time using single can for reference Kmart cans used and mainly for boil water for coffees and full of water boil some of the time 3 weeks off the top of my head using every day 1-2 times a day for 5-10 mins total Branded can used gasmate lasted 4 weeks same usage daily. Cost wise cheap vs branded cans the money you spend on cheap cans buying more of them buying multiple will equal same cost of branded cans but get less so in my experience same overall cost wise cheap vs brand given the usage cheaper being less then branded so cost wise same over all cheaper if you buy more cheap cans vs same money on brand cans use time will be around same. All using for a while found some issues will follow up with usage review video but just a note there is a o ring inside the thread that you insert the can into housing Bunnings sell replacements in a multi size pack simple replacement pick the old o ring out replace with new works a treat with that. Ignition trigger have had some issues not lighting all the time so using a lighter to light it to be able to use it Value for money is on par with others I have used cheaper ones wearing out quick but half the price have not had any concerns with this gasmate one other then small issues mentioned Hope this update helps
@@Gonebushaus thanks, appreciate that you followed-up on it.
@screwfeaar no problem at all has been on my list of things to do just have not had time/ remember to do 🤣
Nice addition mate! Happy camping!
Thanks mate was well worth the time and money
Mate I bought some1 inch diameter PVC pipe and poured hot sand from an oven into the PVC and put the end caps on and shaped it in a jig that I made up. Once the sand cools the pipe retains the shape that you set. I cut it in the middle and them used PVC connector to join both half’s together when setting it up in the Big Daddy Deluxe Swag. No no more drooping from the sides. It’s simple , easy , strong and easily comes apart and takes up little space in the 4wd or trailer.
Will have to give that a try cheers for that sorry on late reply did see it just been crazy busy with our business crazy hours
Have fun guys 😊
Good one. Thanks.
Your very welcome
What is a swag?
Very good question Is open to interpretation what classes as a swag now days
Great spot ❤🙌🏻
Sure is mate
💯💯
Cool guys 😊 we are gonna buy a starlink one day for the boat when we start travelling the coast.
The best isnt it 😊❤new subscribers
Good ol starlinks 😅❤
{неплохой ролик
Have ordered Starlink myself after your comments regarding it. Keen to put it through the paces!
Your on the good side of those dam ranges haha you shouldn’t have as many obstructions over your way. In city may be an issue but won’t be to slow compared to nbn
Interesting on the mbs man I’m pretty convinced I’ll get star link now 😊🙌🏻
Worst speed out bush was 130mbs Definitely worth it I suggest household plan with mobile add on better speeds compared to rv plan as household is priority even on mobile mode
@@Gonebushaus that’s crazy good 🙌🏻
Reckon you could tell me what the adapter is called 😂
Sorry not off top of my head I think it’s this one. www.bunnings.com.au/gasmate-3-8-straight-brass-gas-adaptor_p3170716?store=2325&gbraid=0AAAAADtbEB-MNRw24WnSxMgxtv1nToH_2&gclid=CjwKCAjww7KmBhAyEiwA5-PUSiK1TIBxMw0NKtrJz6U8tmt0Jj5jEsiBehuwBKRicQDQyMdkrFH7khoCe_8QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Hi there, what size is gas bottle please?
@harleyhabib527 9kg or 4kg bottle is what I use with the adapter
Thanks champ. You've given me something to think about.
No problem hope it helps
If you throw the batteries under the drawer, glue some carpet or felt/rubber from Bunnings to the underside so the terminals never come into contact with the steel drawer :P
Sounds like a plan
