Structure fire- POV response to scene
10/15/24 5:30am Sifd, BTFD, and ctfd was dispatched to a working structure fire with exposure threats to a house and surrounding woods,
First arriving unit was a sergeant with Sifd and he notified incoming units fire started to spread to the home and propane takes have begun to purge.
Units preformed an aggressive offensive attack and saved 90% of the home. Garage was a total loss
No injuries to report

Single car pda- POV response to scene

10/05/24 while wrapping up a funeral for one of our own BTFD was dispatched to a car in the ditch, Units loaded up into the rigs and responded to find all occupants out of the vehicle and just needed a wrecker. We cleared the scene as soon as the wrecker arrived.

9/27/24 Sifd was dispatched to a 2 vehicle accident, minor injury 5 patients total with only bumps and bruises were checked out by ems while we did cleanup and traffic control.

9/27/24 Sifd was called to a motor vehicle accident involving a sedan and two tractor trailers. Luckily minor injuries only took place. The accident happened in a single lane construction zone which made it challenging for our equipment to get close.

9/20 Sifd was dispatched to the odor of smoke in a residence. Personnel responded to the scene and after a thorough investigation it was determined there was no smoke or danger to the home owner. Units cleared the scene shortly after

8/21/24 Sifd was dispatched to an iPhone crash alert towards the county line. Sifd responded with rescue 1 and engine 4 minor injuries reported

8/13/24 3:45am Sifd was dispatched to a 2 car head on collision in our 1st due area. Cars were off the roadway when we arrived on scene minor injuries to all involved. No extrication needed so we provided scene lighting and traffic control.

8-7-24 BTFD was dispatched to smoke coming from the crawl space of a home. First arriving engine arrived on scene reported moderate smoke conditions in the crawl space. 7/7/24 Sifd was dispatched to a vehicle fire. A truck hauling a camper started smoking from the dash and caught fire. No injuries were reported

06/30 Sifd was dispatched to an automatic fire alarm at an elderly living center, alarm was caused by a fault in the system. Reset the system and went back in service.

5/31/24 12pm Sifd was dispatched to a van that had crashed into a building. Units arrived on scene and checked on the driver (not injured) and checked damage to both vehicle and structure. Minor damage to both.

BTFD was paged to a brush fire started by teens fishing My original intent was to go straight to scene but I rerouted to grab the tanker.

Interesting for me seeing the long distances emergency services have to traverse to get to an incident over there. Here in England I have a Fire and ambulance station half a mile from my home, and a hospital with Accident n Emergency 10 min away.
@@johnsmith-ht3sy in some areas around us you could go 30 miles without seeing a fire station but houses everywhere
@@Brycef363 Difference is the housing density. Our houses are much smaller, terraced houses. So per mile we are packing in much more people.
@@johnsmith-ht3sy I remember hearing about a house in my area next to a fire station that burned down, it was over the city/county line and they couldn't touch it as per jurisdiction........ gotta love bureaucracy.

I'm fairly new to volunteer firefighting. (Only about 6 months so far) and the one thing I've noticed I can't stand is having my siren on lol
I am tempted to shut it off when there isn’t traffic 90% of the time but I just forget about it lmao
Most states require that when your running lights your siren must be on regardless. That's the only downfall

I see you guys are in newer Station. When I lived in Sault Ste. Marie, the Station was downtown. Glad to see you have bigger Station now.
Yes! Moved in a few years back. Able to actually fit trucks in the hall
