I believe GOD revealed this to me several months ago and is the reason I stopped attending church. So many pastors teach the BIBLE through their own beliefs and experiences instead of what the BIBLE says. I use the idea of tithing to illustrate this idea. So many pastors have used tithing to guilt the congregation into tithing to get rich, they have twisted this idea to fit their narrative, but they don't teach that tithes were always agriculture and their were 3 types of tithes and tithes were given to the levites and they could not own anything or work another job. There are so many wrong ideas spread by pastors to prosper individually I don't trust them. I do miss gathering together with like minded people ,but I really don't trust these pastors because they twist scripture to fit their agenda. Jeremiah 29:11 is another scripture pastors misuse, they don't read the context in which it was written, to the children of Israel and it was from GOD to let them know their 400 years of captivity were about to end but pastors use this scripture to hype up the congregation.

Hey brother applying this teaching has been so difficult sometimes . I suffer from OCD and ill constantly sit there and question my faith and my salvation obsessively and i also suffer from health anxiety and ill constantly feel all sorts of pressures and pains that freak me out and get panic attacks. Ive had to literally just distrust my thoughts and just say i believe and starve the compulsions. But there is hope

I think our feelings do matter because, how can you be intimate with God without your feelings? Like say hey God I feel this way and God will say I Know what you feel and here is what I say about that and here is how you will get passed that. So I do think God cares about how we feel because how can I be honest and true without without feeling? You know?

I do believe that cussing is a sin. You are correct how cussing is a sin. Ephesians 4:29 explains how people shouldn't let any unwholesome talk come out of their mouth. You seem to do a great job of speaking the truth in love to people. Ephesians 4:15 talks about speaking the truth in love to people. God wants people to tell the truth to people, share the Gospel to people, etc in a loving, gentle, polite, and respectful manner instead of a rude, hateful, unloving, and condescending manner. I respect how you believe in going by what the Bible says in regards to how you live your life instead of going by what the culture says.
