I like aging things like that. It's always a little scary removing the factory surface to add character. I had that problem aging a semi auto mp40. The problem with many of those repro guns is they make them out of zinc alloy. Wearing the bluing looks pretty good at first but it oxidizes into an ugly grey. I can always repaint it if I'm tired looking at it. You look like you're doing a pretty good job. It it's too brown you could try wiping some off.

This video was helpful for me. I've been doing HEMA for a year now, primarily longsword and messer as that's all my school teaches and the entire time all I could think about is how much I want to learn saber and/or sidesword. (trying to learn one at a time so I don't overwhelm myself). I feel more drawn to sidesword than saber, but I feel like given my body type I would be better at saber. Which do you recommend for someone like me who will be primarily self taught given my school doesn't teach either of those.

Old man here in decline especially hand wise but when I bought my 42 I wasn’t. Only modifying is I would have a gun tech do that tiny disassemble for the slide pull . Other than that the 42 is a cream puff . I fell in love with it on an indoor range when the Walter I was shooting jammed and they let me continue with the 42 . Back then I had full strength . No cancer . Who cares about 9mm versus 380 cp ? This thing is perfect for self defense and it is fun to shoot ! I consider the 42 iconic now . Glock fan boy on this one

I would agree that most of the time when I see an HJ Poet, I think there are better, more accurate looking hats on the market. That's not to say that it doesn't work well at times on some people, because it does. But I just don't think it's worth the extra money. I'm extremely happy with my Northwest Hat Co Raiders from Mike Miller and my AdVintage Crusader. I have an AdVintage Clipper on the way right at the moment as well.

Awesome. My father used to drive for Maverick Coach Lines in Vancouver and parked his bus one time to see Adrian and the crew from a distance. He wasn't sure which episode was being filmed but he loved Highlander throughout the 90s. I never got into Highlander and I remember watching a lot of Kung Fu the legend continues episodes, but did see some episodes from season 2. I finally got into Highlander in 2017 by watching the season episodes on RUclips and understood the story well and today it's one of my favourite shows of all time.

I wanted to get a Peter Brothers custom build of the TOD model back in 2010 when I was living and working in Fort Worth, TX. Not sure if they're still there on Houston St, but I walked into that glorious hatter and it was about to turn 100 years old. They had a prop display case with a lot of western TV and movie hats on display. Including the Indiana Jones models. He told me at the time he was in talks with the hatter for Crystal Skull to get one of his for the shop.

I got a HJ a good 7 years ago or so... hell maybe its been a decade now... I don't remember. But yeah, it's not quite accurate, I was unfortunate to have gotten it before they switched up their design and made it better, also I think their hatter guy changed. It's too tall, and tapers ever so slightly upward. Casual person wouldn't know, but.. I know lol I have one from Steve Delk right as he was stopping making them, that one is way better. Also got one from Steele and Jones, I like that one but it feels a bit stiff. Got one of those Australian ones too... forgot the name, but it's a travel hat version instead of the brown Indy one. And also a fedora from Huvdfe... whatever that Swedish guys name is that you mentioned lol But his hat is Indy style design but completely different colors, I wanted something swanky since I felt like I had too many brown Indy ones. I think I've worn his more than the others, just cause the swankyness. :D
