Awesome
can u tell me how many exact litres of oil with filter is needed
@@calebsaheb3159 Just check your oil level on the dipstick.
Excellent
Excellent video. To the point and no wasted time talking about the history of oil!!! Thank you for posting.
My oil drain bolt is stuck and I'm scared to proceed cause.....call me dolt' but i can't tell if it's right tighty lefty loosey???? Or if it's reversed
@@ralphlitabia1484 left loosey, turn counter-clockwise to loosen, you might have to use a breaker bar or a torch
@GroatHealth i eventually got it off with love taps on a socket 🔧
You seem very responsive to messages on here so I thought I would ask this. I have had a few people tell me they changed their own oil and ended up with engine failure and Honda refused to honor under warranty. The people did not have receipts and records and they claimed that they had improperly change the oil. Any guesses as to what that person may have been doing incorrectly that would have caused a problem?
@@scottdavis5698 Most likely wrong oil filter is my best guess. Always go with the OEM oil filter as it is rated for certain oil bypass pressure at idle rpms.
@@ChosenCory thank you that is a very sensible thought process
Aww nice video thanks 😊
Best and quick
Muy buen video
Thank you soooo very much for taking the time to make this video. ❤❤❤❤ It was a bit fast in the beginning, but I got it. I look forward to changing my own oil/filter and not having to sit at the dealership for hours or potentially getting ripped off at Jiffy Lube.
@@trishakaaay3720 You got this!
Was glad you also showed how to reset the maintenance message. Great video and all you need to know.
30ft/lbs on the drain plug with a new crush washer.
How do u get the fat screws back in the skid plate? Mine wont stick ill have to use fasteners
Hey I had problems with that as well..can you tell me what kind of fasteners you used?
@@Daniel-yd6lm i dont know the name but its those black plastic things that look kinda like fat bolts and you press them thru the holes
Great video- dummy proof and good tip with using the oil from the old filter
I have a CRV also 🙂 mine's a 2017! I love it! We bought two Hondas in December 2016 + haven't had any issues, they've been the best vehicles I've ever had!
nicely done
I have been changing the oil on my cars for years but learned a couple of new tips from watching this video. Now I also know the details of an oil change on my newer car as well. Thanks!
Can not remove rear phillips head screw to save my life! I just spin the skid plate around, perhaps a blessing. I would love advice! Thanks!
That bolt is next to the catalytic converter. Lots of heat!!! Weld a nut onto that bolt….then it will come out
Thank you!@@TJ321CYA

Is the same Engine 1.5 L 2019 vs 2022 ? 3.7 oil both engine ?
Yes as long as it’s the same body style with the 1.5
Well done! Thanks for the very clear instructions and good hints. This is all you need to know about DIY oil change.
Does the issue of oil dilution still exist? Does it smell like fuel? The oil looks very thin
most likely yes, but if you change your oil every 3k miles you will be fine.
The Owner’s Manual (on my 2022 CR-V) calls for 30 pound-feet of torque on the Oil Drain Plug. Thanks for the video.
Thank you!
