    Hello! I am having my hemorrhoidectomy this coming wednesday at the surgery center by my house. My dr is giving me local anesthesia. I am supposed to do an enema the morning of the procedure. My dr is prescribing me a narcotic and not sure if anything else. he mentioned about the sitz baths. I need to take 3 or more warm baths a day. I got some baby wipes and diaper cream for after i use the bathroom and when I change the gauze that will be in butt crack. I only have one hemorrhoid thats getting removed and my dr said I should be able to go back to work in a week. the paper does mention getting a fever and chills that night of the surgery. It says its common with rectal surgery. but if it continues into the next day I need to call my dr. he did mention that there will be blood.

    I got this surgery 6 days ago 3 internal and one external and the more of these I see my heart breaks for everyone in the comments. All I can say is do your research well for good surgeon I put it off after the first two, just extremely painful exam was all I needed to not use then. Make sure they are giving you an injection called exparel if not find another. Is a pain killer that lasts from 3- 5 days and is non opioid. I’ve literally taken nothing but advil and have been managing the pain. First three days were rough I can’t lie 2nd day first movement was like shitting glass. I’m not saying there is no pain but people saying they are crying everyday is crazy. If you smoke quit before surgery and during recovery, take stool softeners days before and throughout the whole process drink water to the point you pee every half hour. Eat fiber like it is your job fruits, green vegetable stay away from red meat. I’ve been eating solid foods for 3 days already started with healthy soups I made at home. Sitting around makes it worse at least for me. Impedes your digestion. Soak in the tub with Epsom salt few times a day, ice packs multiple times a day. Idk maybe I have a high pain tolerance or something but these comments and stories sound crazy to me. Also seeing women say it’s more painful than giving birth I can’t believe that is true ain’t no way. I feel in about 2 weeks I will be back to living a normal life. I already had one set of stiches come out today as well. They gave me good printed out instructions for prep the food part and a lot of other aspects I just asked google. Like never use witch hazel to clean yourself as it is alcohol based will have your ass screaming. Stay away from a lot of dairy except yogurt those probiotics are good for your guts. The lidocaine I haven’t used yet would probably make it even better. Heavy pain killers constipate you so if you can avoid them do it. Can research doctors close by you people leave reviews they will pop up fast if they have alot of reviews take your time to prep research the surgeon as the recovery obviously is not easy for most. You can try banding but is a long drawn out process one at a time I didn’t want to deal with that. Been dealing with this for years was no way I was going to just keep it up makes your whole life miserable. Don’t put off getting your life back. May sound stupid to some but ask god for some strength to get through it be thankful everyday you feel better and keep a positive mindset brain is very powerful can keep you in a mad place. Good luck to everyone going through this you can do it just have to dig deep good things never come easy in life. And don’t read and watch a million videos telling you horror stories. Was my biggest regret of it all. The night before I slept an hour because I was so in my head and was so weak from not eating and drinking water for so long. I hope this comment can help some people get the courage to go through with it not everyone should have these nightmare stories and do your part to make it easier on yourself.

      @@monserratmartinezchavez5842 surgery was under General anaesthesia and I recommend it as the only anaesthetic option. Spinal is not enough, won’t cut the sensitivity. Surgical procedure was Ferguson type. PostOP recovery was quite horror.. first 2 weeks of pooping were unreal. Cried on the toilet to be honest. Then it gradually been better. I would say that 1 month you’ll feel the discomfort every time when you poop. Never used toilet paper since then.. I’m washing every time after. Only time I use wet wipes are outside of my home if needed. But I have my routine and most of the time "I go out" in the morning after coffee, that's before leaving home. Eating veggies and fruits every day and also milk with cereals with high percentage of fibres + lots of water daily. 2liters+. Quality of life at 3 months after op is awesome. Never had blood in the stool anymore, I’m not afraid to go outside without checking my ass every 15mins and so on. 1) just try to keep simple with a good diet, fibre... Lots of fibre but in the right amount, don't overdo 2) normal pharmacy painkillers, 2 different ones + the antibiotic the doc prescribed which also worked as a painkiller 3) no, but for the first week or two I only had easy food, lots of soups, rice, crackers, smoothies and lots of water 4) best thing you can do is straight away after evacuating, jump in a shower, let the hot water run there (don't make it too hot, don't burn it) take all painkillers you can 5-10 minutes before evacuating and let the hot water help you 5) take easy in the first two weeks, have the first few evacuations, understand the pain and how your body is reacting to everything, drink n eat easy... Soups, fibre, lots of fibre, smoothies, rice ... Hope that helps a bit more

      Alright my friend. I got lucky that the day of my surgery was also the first day of 6 weeks lockdown in Melbourne. The more days off you can have after surgery the better. Mate, make sure you are stocked with painkillers, if you can find a nice haemorrhoids cushion/pillow thing, that helps. And for the first week or two, try to eat liquids n fiber, lots of soups n smoothies with fiber stuff. For the evacuation, take some painkillers and the antibiotics the doctor might prescribe like 10-15 before Now... For the first times (going to the bathroom) there's nothing much you can do, it's gonna hurt, unfortunately there's no sugarcoating. But take the painkiller before and straight away after evacuating, straight to the shower and try to let warm/hot water running in that region. Be strong for that pain in the beginning, remember that's worth it and when it's done, you won't regret, best thing I did, wish I've done it earlier Good luck

    Im on my 5th day post op, got laser surgery and fissurectomy. Not gonna lie 3days post op was the worst not just because of surgery pain but i got my periods few minutes before the surgery and it was havoc. I never had such bad cramps in my life and i couldn't feel any other pain other than that cause it was very severe. So ladies before scheduling the surgery jst check your dates. The next morning after the surgery i had my first poop and it wasn't painful. Following the days i had normal diet and poop was not painful just a stiffness in the muscles after every poop. However, on my 4th day post op it was bad like really, pinch of tear came out but not like dripping sort. Anyway i just wanted to say whoever is going through it please reach out to your doctor and choose the correct doctor don't go to a general surgeon, gastroenterologists are the best in this aspect. One thing for sure the pain that we used to endure pre surgery will really come to an end once the surgery is done and post surgery pain is still bearable so if you're thinking about it go for it.

    For piles laser surgery is better or open surgery is better

    Thanks for your video..the last one I watched the lady said not to do it because she was in so much pain....but she went to work three days after and didn't poop for two weeks...so I think with a good super light diet and pain killers with hot sitz baths I will be finw. I have had hemmroids since I was 18 and I am now 40...mine only have been super bad a few times before this last year...where it is almost every day I am in pain so think it will be totally worth it.

      @@klyptodog1041 Thank you for the quick response. In that 2 and a half months, how long did it take for you to return to normal activity (like work)? Could you walk around like normal? Would it bleed randomly? Basically what was the experience like 😅

    • @klyptodog1041
      @klyptodog1041 7 месяцев назад

      @zee4125 i actually had an interview to work at an IT job and went in on my medications haha. Pain wise, after the 2 months, it was very minimal, and my life went back to normal 2 months and a half with no pain and honestly the best decision of my life to get the surgery. It's definitely a confusing and somewhat challenging recovery but grateful of the outcome. Bleeding stopped some time during the 2 weeks, but the pain remained until it healed better. The most painful or annoying part of it is definitely the little uncontrollable spasms you get back there but ive hesrd that not everyone gets them. Walking around was fine, not painful realy just uncomfortable. Encouraged to walk if you can. Mainly spent my time laying face down on my bed playing Resident evil 😈

    Do you remember how long you took pain medications ? Pls answer this . I'm on my 14 day after surgery. Still feeling pain while passing stool and after that too.. Actually I avoid taking pain medications because of its maybe side effects on my kidneys or other .. that why I have to endure pain... But when I take pain medicine the lower area didn't feel pain .. But how long this will to continue I wonder .pls Answer which I asked from you. Thnkyou

      Take only liquids, just liquids soups juices etc . Don't take solid and semi solid right now. .for one week or two weeks if you endure. Because right now it's better to have urine , and taking solid will cause you to poop which will hurt you .. may God heal us ..and take away our pain

      No stitches, had a gauze up there till the first time o went pooping. It was next day only or two days after, don't remember Ah and it will hurt when you go pooping, nothinguch you can do about that, after all it was a surgery right there You can minimise by taking some painkillers little bit before you go and again as soon as you can and don't try to clean it with paper or anything, poop and jump straight on a shower and let hot water (not super hot obviously) hit the region or of you have a bath, have a bath after cleaning in the shower, lay there on hot water
