I started recently and it seems to go good, but there is one part I do not understand. When you join the 4th red crest with the 1st red crest, how do you go from 15 to 18? You make 10, on the last five you join the two crests with a single crochet in each stitch through the first 3 of the 4th crest and 3 of the 1st crest and then just continue the last two on the 4th crest. This makes a total of 15. How do you get 18? The joining doesn’t make 3 more stitches, it just joins.

Haven't tried to make yet, but hope to. Thanks for the pattern.
