Able seaman Frederick Welham was aboard and died here.
So very missed
O dear, there seems to be a lot of shit posted by a couple of twats who obviously dont dive in UK, Bernard is a top class diver, and I would buddy with him to any qualified depth at any time. I have dived with him in 2m and 40m , down to 2degrees temperature. Redundancy is a must, reliability is a must, trust is a must...dont knock things you now nothing about.
Nice video... Why do you have cylinders on your back? I hold my breath while diving in ponds like that.
Best diver in the world Me COCK!
Arron BW, have you ever tried diving a wreck in 40-50m of dark cold water? Give it a try and see how long your single cylinder lasts, see how long you last actually! As you’re bolting to the surface after running out of air, rupturing your lungs, or at best experiencing an excruciating and deadly bend on the surface you’ll very quickly realise why we dive and practice in the equipment we use! If you’ve got a question about a divers kit configuration, in the future ask in a less condescending way or expect a less than friendly response!
Actually yes I have! And I also know as a sports diver you're quoting your very limits as if it was a day to day event! Dive to 40/45m working upwards on the dive, I'd get 75/80 minutes out of one tank and hit the surface with my 50 bar left.
Firstly you’d be completely irresponsible diving below 30m without a redundant air supply, secondly I’m talking about spending time exploring a deep wreck, not popping down to 40m for 5 minutes then spending the rest of the dive at 10m! Wrecks in the open sea don’t have any reefs to ascend up to spend time in the shallows! Do the math! RMV =15lt per minute @ 5bar, (40m) = 75lt per minute. 11lt cylinder @ 200bar = 2200. 2200/75 = 29.33 minutes! Now factor in your decompression obligation for being at depth for any length of time! Do you still think these sort of dives are doable on a single cylinder? If so I wish you and any unfortunate buddy the best of luck! There’s plenty of books out there about Tec diving, try reading a few and educating yourself!
@@arronbw3373 Assuming you dived to 40 m max depth over 75 minutes, and that your average depth over the entire dive was 20 m, you would require (approximately) 5,625 litres of air. With a gas fill at 210 bar, your single cylinder would need to be (again all approximate) 27 litres. Can you post a photo of that big bad boy?
What are you trying to say Arron BW How can you comment on someone else’s preferred diving style when you obviously have no clue what is going on and why they dive that style. If you are going to comment please make it constructive so we can all learn from your obviously superior diving skills
I may be only a PADI advanced openwater, but I dived all around the world. With only one tank and a Suunto d4i, for up to 75minutes a time. What was all that gear for only to dive in a big pond?
As UK divers, we often dive deep and for long periods of time at Sea. Equipment redundancy is of paramount importance, which is perhaps all of the gear that you refer to. Even when diving inland water, we keep the same kit configuration which allows for greater familiarisation and thereby safer diving.
@@markwilliams4918 do you dive for a living or a pass-time. If the later you're not going deeper than 40m?
@@arronbw3373 You do not need to dive for a living to go beyond 40m. Have a look at this link for PADI technical courses that allow diving beyond 40m www.padi.com/technical-courses. There are many other agencies that also offer training for deeper diving, all for the non-professional. www.diveraid.com/content.asp?L9nQxJv2ECePYl1AtjAEpg. www.vobster.com/tech-courses.php#deep. I hope this may be helpful.
Arron BW you obviously like looking at little gold fish, some of us like a little adventure in our lives.
@@richardsanders7520 Ye! The small Gold fish was aka a Bull shark I stroked, and it wasn't at one of your feeding events. Any one who really knows any thing about diving knows the best thing are the small things on a coral wall.
Gracias Bernardo :)
muchas gracias Senior Bernandos :D
