The Bads (Womp Womp): 0:05 - Shaky camera and zooming out distracts viewer 0:12 - who thought this was good? terrible lighting, weird color grading, and shaky movement. Why is 60% of the shot just the rainy sky 0:14 - over exposed shot 0:22 - editing mistake, choppy video showing a christmas graphic. Did you guys just take your intro from an old video??? Guess that is why its so compressed. You're a pre edited show how did no one see this. 0:22-0:55 - why does it sound like you recorded the audio with an ipad. 0:57 - editing mistake again 0:59 - Pretty original flag footage, you should credit the authors. Use original file since this one has been compressed so many times its now standard 240p 0:59-1:12 - please use the studio microphones to record audio, its not that hard 1:16 - Maverick logo is not in the center of the shot, song sounds like it was placed over an old video so the transitions down align with the beat. 1:20 - camera cant seem to focus 1:35- over exposed shot 1:43- zoom your shot out, the anchor's head on the left is about to be cut off, camera does not seem to be in focus, color grading makes the anchors look to yellow. Green screen is way to noticeable, Picture-in-picture is way to small whos gonna read that?? Logo in PIP is also an oval? 1:48 - WHY ARE YOU STILL SHOWING THE SCHEDULE, ITS SPRING AND YOU DONT KNOW WHERE TO GO YET???? 1:52- Why go directly to another anchor, cant the mains talk for a few minutes before an instant transition 1:53- No sports intro? 1:53- Move camera up where it is a chest shot, why does i see his legs are they going to be speaking? 1:53- Why this background, hes not reporting out on the field so put him in a studio set and blur the background slightly so the focus is on him. At this moment it looks like he is a 40 foot tall giant compared to the field. 1:53- Why is thhe PIP box in the goal post??? It doesn't look great and even if you were to do it, its not even inside the post. 2:10- no graphic for this story or package? 2:23- no graphic or package part 2? 2:37- would be really cool to see the players making the goal 2:47- no graphic or video part 3? 2:51- how many times do we need to hear go mavericks? 2:55- no graphic or video part 4? 3:11- woah no graphic again??? also whats the point of the picture-in-picture if you're not going to use it 3:18- follow it has been used but i cant read since its so small 3:23- Good job to whoever made this graphic its actually very good 4:07- you dont need to say attention mavs in your script, if you didnt grab their attention already you dont have it now 4:11- note for anchors and script writers leave time to actually put up the graphic 4:24- no graphic 4:35- overall the graphics are solid whoever knows how to use canva is doing a solid job 4:38- Is this not pre-recorded, why is there a studio background in the PIP 4:42- you could not choose a more stock imovie intro, please be more creative, sorry to emil and isabella 4:44- why this song and its so loud i cant hear what the anchors are saying 4:46- the set is dog water, the background is blurry and the christmas tree is over exposed, this is a fun segment why are the anchors so tense, you dont need to fold your hands 5:02- Finally someone has descent audio quality, but try to record in a quiet space cause I hear the server running in the background 5:13- please dont use imovie anymore, learn premiere pro and make your own transitions 5:25- the correct sound effect destroyed my eardrums 5:31- So you guys arent worried about copyright anymore hmmm 5:34- anchors and to whoever is working with them. please position the lav mics correctly so the mic doesnt run into hair or a shirt and destroy your audio quality 5:52- try to keep all of your audio levels the same, they keep fluctuation so frequently the viewer cant keep up 7:07- there was no score keeping graphic, but instead just imovie text in the end. 7:09- editor did not crop the background correctly, rookie mistake on per-recorded video, they also randomly disappear in the end. In your videos make sure to transition to black at the end so it makes the transition more clean. 4:38-7:11- roughly half of your show was spent on this one segment, make sure to keep any segments down to 1-1:30min 7:18- please dont be lazy and find a higher quality image of a sandwich 7:31- you're can update the outro now The Goods: Anchors- In general your anchors are talented and are good at speaking. However, feel free to add your personal touch to the script. Dont be so static and read directly off the teleprompter. In between stories is where you have the opportunity to improvise and show your personality. This is where the viewer is able to directly connect with you and actually be engaged.

Day 163: Just keep coming back to this video.... over and over.... until I can’t bring myself to press replay.... the editing... the acting... the cinematography... even the title is a masterpiece.... 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻..... Gabriel Lopez is an actor unparalleled by any other in modern history, his cute face and thick curves are one of the most jaw dropping combinations in video history.... Ayden Dow gives us the best dead body impersonation since slipknot from suicide squad.... Ryker Flam’s editing has been pushing the limits of artistry for years now and he’s finally broken through... the only issue I have with this almost perfect film is the color correction, the imbecile that did this faded out the whole picture... a color blind man could have done a better job at it... aside from that great vid 10/10 would watch till my eyes bleed again 🤙🏿

Watch for unnecessary camera movement when filming. Handheld shooting is okay but make sure to keep the shot steady and redo takes if you accidentally shake or jolt the camera. Also be sure to watch your operator shadow in your frame I'm not sure why you chose to have vertically shot footage in your PSA, it feels like a mistake rather than a narrative choice. - STN Judge Feedback

Starting with a standup of you just standing there talking does not grab the viewer's attention and make us want to watch. Begin with some great nat sound of the guys working on their robots, or sounds from the robot doing cool things! THAT would make me want to watch. If you use cell phone video, don't forget to shoot it horizontally. Putting your subjects in front of a green screen is very distracting. The viewer doesn't know what to focus on. Also, remember the rule of thirds when framing your interviews. The subjects are staring straight at the camera, which you don't want. We don't need to hear you ask questions. It pulls us out of the story. Use voice track and soundbites to tell your story. - STN Judge Feedback

I would tighten up the very beginning - find a shorter sound bite to use - but I really like the idea of having the group of girls together while one talks about what they're doing. That was a creative way to start the story. The framing on the coach's interview is so wide that at first, I thought she was addressing the team about what their workout was going to entail and not telling the reporter. What works: I really like the concept -- using a problem in math class that speaks to a larger truth about preconceived notions and kindness. Using just 3 people is a good idea -- keeps the story focused. You have a good story to tell -- the challenge is using the medium of video to tell it. Here are some things to focus on for next time. What needs work: the audio is bad ... I need to hear them. Tripod! You should always use a tripod. it keeps the shots steady. It allows viewers to see the scene as they really would if they were in the room. Our eyes don't shake -- your video shouldn't shake. Edit pacing. The first two shots total 30 seconds -- more than 1/6th of your entire film. But they convey almost no information. People walking down a hall. Consider your third shot -- it's about 17 seconds long -- and all that happens is people walk into a classroom and sit down. Consider variety of shots. For instance, they walk into a room? That's a 3 second wide shot. Then cut to a tight shot of one of their faces, or one of their hands pulling out a chair. Cinematically, you can have people walk into a room in 3 shots and take less than 9 seconds. Think wide, medium, tight -- super tight on your shots. Also, think about the very beginning of a shot and the end -- do you need them? Because it takes them 3 seconds to open the door -- do I need to see all 3 seconds? I don't think so.
