The Young at Heart Filmmaking Workshop welcomed 20 local seniors for 5 days of intense filmmaking at the Rex Community Centre in Kings Cross, in March 2010. Together, they wrote, shot and edited a 5 minute short film which went on to be shown (out of competition) to a full house at the Cochlear Young at Heart Short Film Awards a few days later at Dendy Opera Quays.

Kings Cross Community Centre Thursday Jumble and Book Sale
As a kid I saw all the cinerama films each many times. So much fun! Really pulled you into the picture. The blu-ray copies of all the restored films are fabulous. Relieve it again at home! Pete Hutley. Australia.
Me gustaría mucho que psen películas clásicas, en formato de cinerama, para poder ver en el living de mi casa . Soy de argentina les mando un brazo gracias
Well done! Hope Cinerama can make a comeback soon. It's not that difficult to do now....Or as expensive🤔😐
As a 16 year old farm kid from Nebraska, I was able to see HTWWW two times at the Denver Cooper in 1963. It remains the most impressive experience I have had in any theater. When I saw It's a Mad Mad World I was disappointed somewhat by the 70mm experience. Loosing all three of the "Golden Triangle" Cooper Theaters, Omaha, Minneapolis and Denver was a very sad day. They were places of magic!
Nice work and a good approximation. I saw Cinerama at the Denver Cooper in the early 1960's; first as 3-projector with HTWWW followed by single-projector with Mad World. It remains the most fascinating movie experience I've had and was a partial impetus for my eventually becoming an IATSE movie projectionist. I was able to get a Baker Booth tour in 1964 and reconnected with the late projectionist (Chuck Adams), in 1999, who let me in the door in '64.
I love it
isn't it great to walk into a so-called 'learning centre' and be treated like a 14 year old schoolboy when you're in your 50's. Nurse Ratchet from One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest was the prototype for guys like this and the other "highly trained"(not)staff. They spend countless hours pretending to fulfill the requirements of their funding grants, so that they can get more grants. Get back to the basics Matthew Talbot, do what your good at - providing food and accomodation for the homeless.
Congratulation on having the large centre. I went to the hostel while staying in the hostel for 1 year. Sundar from Nepal
