Great looking Caprise and a very smart driver- lap and shoulder belts are buckled and the head rest is adjusted. I did the same on the one I had and the belts probably saved my life on night in a head on collision with a drunk driver.
Gorgeous Caprice! My friend inherited his grandfather’s 69 Caprice-Kingswood wagon, a really rare car with a big block HO 396 and the hideaway headlight option. I got to drive it a few times, it was awesome! I really liked the mean look of the front grille with those headlight doors closed, and man was that car ever a sleeper. Nobody expects that engine when they pull up next to you.
We factory ordered a 1969 427 Chevy Caprice in the fall of 1968. It was a light green with a dark green vinyl roof 2 door coupe. Of course it had the 400 Turbo-hydramatic transmission. That transmission was fantastic. We put over 100,000 miles on the car with no drivetrain problems at all. I sold the car to a cousin when I had trouble buying premium gas and we pulled a tandem trailer with the car during the summer. By the way, it was ordered with the fibre optic technology for the light indicators on the fenders along with a rear indicator on the rear seat speaker shelf. (Non-leaded regular gas was taking over and I could not burn regular gas in the 427 so I "spooked" and the car was sold.) It was one of the best cars I have ever owned. The only warranty claims were the engine mount modification recall and a defective block heater cord. The car never failed to start even in -35° weather in Saskatchewan.
Holy cow. Had the same car..hidden headlights. 427/425..fender skirts hidden headlights even headlights WASHERS..373 posi...what a sleeper!.. Dad got sick..has to sell.
Our family had an identical 1969 Caprice, same color combination, but our vehicle did not have the hood indicator lights as did my 1985 Oldsmobile Salon. Great video.

Hi, Wish I could have it in my garage and take it to cruise nights. If it ever goes for sale please let me know, Thank you. Cliff
Nice car but incorrect wheel covers.

These were my favorite Chevrolet vehicles of all time. They still are. How I miss those days.

I used to lay up in the back window when I was a kid.
