The security+ Sybex book is extensive and dive a bit deeper, but I gained a lot of knowledge from it and helps me also answers CISSP questions. Jason Dion's practice tests have been a great secondary resource for preparation. While Professor Messer's videos are helpful, they aren't comprehensive enough on their own. I also watched TIA's Professor Andrew Ramdayal on Udemy, and I found his course much better than Professor Messer's, although it’s significantly longer at 30 hours. I ended up scoring 784.

For question 3, SSL is not recommended for use as its a compromised port/service, and TLS is the upgraded alternative replacement. For the answer C, is it within the generalization of SSL/TLS?

I usually don’t comment on videos, but I passed my SY0-701 with four days of studying (790). Your videos going over the test helped a lot! I would recommend that people take multiple practice exams and review them thoroughly while making notes on the answers and referencing the course material. Understanding the concepts and being able to use the process of elimination helps a lot.

I got 19 of those 20 questions. With the last question I went XXS. Do you think I’m really?

I started with the "Inside Cloud and Security" channel and then went to Professor Messer's course (I have finished about 1/3 of his videos now) and I prefer his methods as he shows graphs, images, charts etc. to better associate the topic and the videos are divided according to each topic, so it is better to digest. And WOW, thanks for the FREE practice exams, mate! Much appreciated! Hoping to take my exam next week!

I have my Sec+ 701 exam in 2 days. I studied with Jason Dion's materials and am currently working through his set of practice papers. Lets see how it goes. Edit: I passed with a score of 784/900. One thing I would like to emphasize is the importance of reading every acronym on the Security+ objectives sheet. I'm not saying you need to have an in-depth knowledge of each and every acronym, but it's good to at least know what they are or what they stand for. I was overconfident, thinking I knew my acronyms (which I mostly did), but there were about three questions where I didn't recognize the acronyms. Additionally, there were many questions related to business acronyms (e.g., SLA, MOU, MOA), so it's helpful to know the differences between them. Good luck!

I don't agree with your answer "C" for question #20....... I feel it is "D" ...... if the CBS is managing the customer support tickets and it is being integrated with CRM sensitive data... that data is at rest within the CBS --- wouldn't that be a priority to encrypt or secure as the system implies the integration of this new CSB with the CRM... how is it not answer "D" I got 19 - 20 correct on this video exam. I thank you for the review and a real honest answer back. I take my exam in Dec or Jan 2025

For question 3, SSL has not been updated since SSL 3.0 in 1996 and is now considered to be deprecated.

i passed sec+ and your Q&A is actually more harder than the actual exam. i did some match and if you can do 80% from your practice test you should be able to pass it, thanks a lot now i'm doing CYSA+.

In my opinion, "C. Dedicated leased Lane" , is the most appropriate choice for question 7. Unlike a VPN, which depends on the public internet and can be affected by traffic congestion and instability, a leased line offers consistent, dedicated bandwidth exclusively for the company, ensuring a stable connection that meets both the security and reliability requirements for cloud migration.

Still confused about the answer for Q16, because when someone calls IT helpdesk,its either from the bank or their company. Who else can you call for assistance?(exclude scammer since you are working in that department.lol) so Still B is correct to me.

Taking my exam next Friday November 8th!! Then my birthday the next week after that and all I want is to pass the exam and get this cert!! Finished Professor Messer’s entire playlist today (finally) and starting this series now so fingers crossed :)
