More 1941 GMC truck restoration. For this one I decided to paint the frame instead of powder coating it. I figure for the kind of driving I am going to do with this truck this would work just fine and aside from my labor is much more affordable.

The North Dakota National Guard invited me to be a participant at their 2024 civic leader day. An entire day spent learning about the scope and breadth of North Dakota’s National Guard and their readiness and educational capabilities. Thank you ND National Guard! Thank you U.S. Service members and Veterans for all that you do for America!
Miscellaneous 1941 Engine and shop work.@billpetersonhistorian

Just some random work in the shop today. Took the harmonic balancer off the extra GMC 228 motor, which was a real bear. Too hot and humid to continue the frame painting for that pickup, but will get back to that once the weather breaks.

This 1941 GMC pickup truck came to me in pieces, so I am putting it together so that I can find it a new home. It is a wonderful old piece of American History. Until today I had never seen it all put together.

I borrowed $900 from my mom in March of 1985 to buy this car. I was 16, it was 13 years old. Good little cars. Motor is not stock, nor is it a 350. We sure have had some good times over the years. It’s a bit of a time capsule for me really. The glovebox still is full of the stuff that was in it when I drove it to high school. I spent my 30s restoring it to factory appearance. Now it is date nig...

Very beautiful Nova 💪💪👍👍
Beautiful car!!!,that paint color looks like it might be Verdoro green. I see it was built at Willow Run Assembly (6 years before I started there) best cars to ever come out of that plant
Cowell tag indicated Sequoia green we dressed it up a little with some gold flake.
Looking forward to more of this series. I'm very glad you are going to restore this old warrior to it's original state.
Thanks, its going to be a pretty slow process. But will be worth it. Tell your friends about the channel.
That 4 speed box is real heavy and awkward to work on.
