This is gonna sound silly but Riften was always like..... the Portland, Oregon of Skyrim to me. A lot of crazy shit happens in Portland, but at its core, there are good people there of all different kinds, doing really amazing things, and its nature is beautiful. A river runs through it, and being that close to a waterfront at all times is really nice. I always found it funny when people shit on Riften because it is absolutely my favorite city in the game. I always end up living there. Feels like home :)

I loved my house in Riften so much, with the beautiful porch right on the sea! Skyrim is the best game of all times! I miss playing it 😭♥️

Skyrim has Aged like a fine bottle of Blackbriar Reserve... nothing like the sound of the rift after you complete the thiefs guild quests and restore the guild to its former glory and Become both Thane and guild master in riften while sleeping in Honeyside/ Shadowfoot sanctuary.

Here in the northern hemisphere we’re quickly transitioning into Autumn weather. The slightest chill has creeped in the wind now. The nights begin a bit earlier now. The tree’s tips are starting to go red and yellow. There’s an urgency in the air and all of nature is aware. Skyrim will always and forever be my sanctuary, my home, my place of refuge when the world is wrong.

Gotta be one of the cities I've spent the least amount of time in. Planning on fixing that in this playthrough.
