Lovely video. I go to snaefellsness tomorrow! Btw you did great on the pronunciations! Takk!
@@anothertamizhpenn aww thank you! Have an incredible time! I bet it's gorgeous right now at the end of summer 😍
Hi Ma'am. I'm your viewer from RUclips.Hope you are well. Actually I loved your content and wanna collaborate with you. I can make your videos viral by my professional subtitle services.
Can't you get into the park before 5 a.m. and not worry about any passes?
@hectorrosado2777 to my understanding yes, as long as you don't try to enter Bear Lake later in the day. If you're up for that, it's a great way to "beat" the system!
@@carriedawaytravels TY so much for confirmation! Super helpful. We're limited in days out there so we are gonna go for it before 5am. If you get a chance or haven't already, come visit Acadia National Park. The 5th-7th(depending on year) most visited NP. I live here in Maine.
@hectorrosado2777 good luck! Stay hydrated and have fun! And I really want to get out there soon! I've heard it's absolutely gorgeous 😍

@@YungMamba404 glad to hear that! Have a wonderful trip!
@@carriedawaytravels from 1-10 how windy/curvy are the roads on trail ridge rd??
@YungMamba404 the road has quite a few curves as it weaves around the mountains. I'd probably rate it a 7. The wind factor kind of depends on the weather but there are areas where it's out in the open and not protected by a mountain on either side. However, I never noticed wind as an issue during our visit. I'd say it has a potential to be a 10 during bad weather but it was a 1 for us.
@@carriedawaytravels lol awesome thank you so much! keep up the good work, your content is very informative and easy to digest!
@YungMamba404 aww thank you!
LOL... I have repeated(10 times) the part where your saying "JUST DOWN THE ROAD FROM" ????? LOL I can't make out what lake you said... thanks for the tips... we will be going here Aug 1st- Sept. 3rd
Oh no 😅 it's Bierstadt Lake lol. Sorry about that! Have a great trip!
@carriechrstnsn thank you 😊
I've been to Costa Rica 4 times and can't wait to go back. I love the Caribbean Coast with it's laid back "pura vida" attitude. I also make the best Gallo Pinto you've ever had!
I'm jealous! I've been dying to get back ever since we were there! The "pura vida" really is contagious, right along with the vibrant colors and wildlife! And don't get me started on the food! I bet your Gallo Pinto is a fantastic dish to relive those moments!
I feel attacked 😂
@harrellfamilyfun lol is this about the Alvin's Island bag? 😂
@@carriedawaytravels well just the fact that I go to the beach with nothing comfortable 🤣
@@harrellfamilyfun lol oh no! 😂 You gotta fix that 😅😂
Great video. Love your recommendations. I’m heading to Iceland in 3 weeks. We’re also doing Scotland Ireland and England. Looking forward to watching your other videos as well
@denisesneeringer9109 I'm glad this was helpful! You'll have a wonderful time there; it's absolutely stunning 😍 Have fun on all your adventures! Feel free to let me know if you have questions for Iceland or Ireland 😊
You have waisted a lot of time to see so little. But this is your video, your experience, your life.
@mar1video I'm sorry you feel that way. To us, the journey on the long drives was just as much of our story as the destinations. We loved what we did, and we have a reason to go back and see more at a later date! Plus, we were able to balance relaxation and adventure, which was important to us 😊
Wow, the fact you only have 333 subscribers is criminal. I really want to subscribe, but 333 is such a cool number . . . LOL Oh well, I am going to ruin it. Subbed. 334 is a good number too! What a great video, clear, concise, and well curated-- enough detail to be relevant, but not a bunch of fluff.
@rustyneuron, this absolutely made my day! Thank you so much for the kind comment AND the follow! I hope you enjoy the rest of my videos!
The Nomatic bag seems to have an issue with the zipper. Thats why I stayed away and told my family and friends to do the same. Sad because it seem to be super functional!!
Did you reach out to customer support? They offer a lifetime warranty on their bags! It's always possible to get a one-off with issues, unfortunately, but they do cover zipper defects :)
So do you need a permit to park and get on the shuttle to Bear lake? OR do you just need a permit to drive your CAR?
You need the basic park entry pass to enter the park at all and then the timed entry+ permit to access the whole Bear Lake area, whether or not you're driving. The shuttle runs from within the Bear Lake area, so you'll need the permit even if you don't plan to drive beyond that point. Lmk if that makes sense 🙂
Can you give a price breakdown?
Sure thing! Garden of the Gods: Free Mt. Princeton: $230+ nightly Rocky Mountain National Park: $30-35 (Park Entry Pass) + $2 (daily Timed Entry Permit) Estes Park Accommodations: $100+ nightly Estes Park Shuttle: Free MeowWolf: $30-40 entry, $15 parking CatBird Hotel: $150+ nightly RiNo District: Free
Heading there next week for the first time, thanks for all the info. I liked the view of the Cliffside but decided on the condos by the creek since they are more updated.
Have a great time! The creekside condos sound great! It's so nice they have lots of options ☺️
You definitely said exactly what my husband and I felt when we saw both Beyond Van Gogh and Monet. The Monet did not begin to feel like an immersive experience, and due to the nature of his magnificent work, I feel it was not represented properly at all or should never be represented in this type of display. It is far too impressionistic to begin to display on four walls. On the other hand, I did feel that the majesty of Van Gogh's colors was displayed beautifully in Beyond, but I think I rather liked the first immersive Van Gogh better. You are right! the room was over-crowded, it was very hot, and and there were no laces to sit. entirely too many people but then we chose Father's Day.
Such a disappointment, especially considering how much they're charging. And yes, there are definitely good parts like the colors and transitions! I think they could take some targeted steps to drastically increase the experience for all visitors!
Wow! those are cool! Nature's strange designs! Dropped a like for you!
Thank you so much for watching and supporting!! It means a lot!
@@carriedawaytravels your welcome!
This park is absolutely stupendous! Thanks for sharing it with us, Colorado Springs!
Please stay out. We're full here. Better off staying in Chicago or Texas.
Unfortunately, Colorado is far too pretty to stay away from 😍
@@carriedawaytravels Nope. We've destroyed all the "pretty" stuff already. Stay away. All full here.
very well explained and informative. can you please share the details on where did you stay in Colorado Spring. A link to the resort booking would be great help. Thanks
Glad you liked the video! We opted to stay at Mount Princeton over in Nathrop instead of booking a hotel in Colorado Springs. It's a couple hours away. You can find that resort here: mtprinceton.com/
8:00 YO FOR FREEEE?!?! 😍
😂😂 Today only
Is the park and ride inside the park?
Yes! You'll enter the park, go to the Bear Lake Corridor section, and then just follow the signs. It's up toward Bear Lake, so you will drive for a few minutes, but it's hard to miss as long as you're on that main road ☺️
Very helpful information! Thank you!!
Glad to hear that! :)
Denver - best weather in the country. Too bad the food mostly sucks, and the residents are beyond boring. And downtown is a pit. Yawn.
Really helpful! Looking forward to the Big Bus tours when we go later this year. Thank you!
Great to hear! Enjoy your trip!
Is the sauna access included in the hotel room rates?
Yes, it is! Some spa treatments like massages are extra, but sauna is included :)
May I know if we need to get a permit or admission to get in to the scenic drive along rocky mtn np?
You will need the standard timed entry permit for the park, but nothing extra once you're inside. 😊
@@carriedawaytravelswhere to park?
I have 2 options to travel in Denver, just wondering if mid June is better than end is Sep/ Oct….😮
@@caxibelle There's parking aaaalll over the place. If you're doing the Bear Lake corridor, just do park and ride. But pretty much anywhere else will have parking at every trail head.
@caxibelle I would personally do fall. It will be a bit cooler, and you'll skip the summer crowds. If you're lucky, you'll also get some stunning fall colors.

It may take me a little bit to do them all, but I'll add them to my content schedule! :) I do have a few shorter vids on Tiktok if that interests you in the meantime:)
Thank you for sharing. I will be doing 12 days as well covering pretty much the same.
Thanks for watching! Have an amazing trip! 👏
Because of number 5 im officially moving to Iceland.
Haha I think a lot of us are about to feel that way with the weather warming up 😂
It's probably too late to save you but you are going to hate having those pants and all the tops. It's 12 days. Cut it in half and bring shorts
This worked out perfectly for us because of the bugs and sun here. No sunburns and they were breathable. But I also didn't have to recycle anything that smelled like sweat 😂
I would have maybe switched to one extra pair of shorts 🤔 but for Quito and then the Amazon I do recommend pants 🙂

Hello, thanks for the information. It's April 18, is the Rocky mnt. Natl. Park open? I saw online where they stated it was closed. TIA.
Unfortunately I don't have any better information than what their website states. I typically go by what they have listed as they're pretty good about updating national park information :)

I liked your video. We are trying to plan a trip to Colorado. I wish you would have added more map images when talking about where you went in Rocky Mountain National Park. Looks like a fun trip!

Thanks for the Information! We have the Cliffs tour scheduled and we are contemplating on doing this tour too!
Glad this was helpful! I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time!
Great info! Fabulous detailed info here one of the only videos that mentions these details. We laughed because I'm a biologist and my daughter is headed there soon with her professors since this is an environmental scientist research trip so it's working and enjoying in Galapagos. LOL.
So glad it was helpful! Oh that sounds like a dream job! I'm sure it will be a fantastic time 😃
What airline did you fly? We are only taking light weight carry on luggage w/1 personal item (pak). Maybe we will have to check bag...IDK? How was customs? Anything taken or not allowed that surprised you? Going to Galapagos Islands only. Great video thank you for sharing! :)
Hi! Thanks for watching! We flew LATAM. It's a delta "sister" airline so we took advantage of the Delta perks with a free checked bag, but we also each had our personal items. Customs was not bad for us BUT we arrived in Quito around 10 pm. The customs agents were very friendly though and we didn't have any problems. We didn't run into any issues. Going into Galapagos, you'll have to have your baggage rescreened and disinfected and they'll make you fill out forms double checking you have no single use plastics, live seeds of animals, etc. Definitely be sure to have reusable and eco friendly stuff for the islands :)
I also cover some additional specifics for visiting the Galapagos in this video if you haven't seen it yet :) ruclips.net/video/ytwlvp-k9V4/видео.htmlsi=gWPACHAlsHJD8Hg_
