HE Study Skills
Великобритания
Добавлен 23 янв 2017
Hi and welcome to my Study Skills channel! I'm Eliza Bebb and I am the Programme Leader for BA Education Studies at University Centre Colchester in the UK, specialising in supporting students in developing their written and oral communication skills at an academic level. My ethos is in studying smarter rather than harder. This channel was originally set up to support my own undergraduate students, but the content could help all university and college students. I share what works well for me and my students and I hope it inspires you too - it's really important to note that you should always be guided by your own institution and lecturers so, if in doubt, just check with them first!

Are linear and outline methods the same?
Yes they are. Different books refer to them differently. Most US books say Outline but in the UK linear is used too.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. It has been so helpful for me as a first year in uni and not knowing how to write reports.

HOW WILL I WRITE A REPORT ON SOCIAL MEDIA TO GIVE TO MY BOSS
You need to focus on your headings first which will relate to the content you need to deliver. If you are not sure, you will need to ask what your Boss is expecting from you so you can ensure you provide the right content. I would include an Executive Summary after the contents page which summarises the main findings of your report as they may not wish to read it all and focus on the key findings.
You are amazing. You saved my life. I'm doing my internship for a company doing research and I need to do weekly reports. Thank you.
Great news! Best wishes with your internship
With new subscribers, I thought I’d start adding more content. Happy studying

Thanks for your feedback!
Black and Asian people were disproportionately impacted by Covid-19, while growing numbers depended on food banks to get by. www.hrw.org/world-report/2021/country-chapters/united-kingdom Food banks? I know food banks r not the solution. What is this China? Just hand out food for the public
So helpful, never been taught any of this but so helpful
Thats great to hear!
What is the best font for reports?
Hi - usually Arial and Calibri are my go to fonts. Avoid comic sans or any serif fonts which have swirly features on.
Times New Roman?
Thank you for this 👏👏👏
No problem 👍
Mam, but the content counts the acknowledgement page as well..how to skip that page if I want to get the acknowledgement page above the content page but after the front page?? Can you please show the method, cause the page numbers don't get rectified when I update the table.
So, this option works for us and I haven't done this the way you suggest but as a quick google search, try looking at this link for guidance kib.ki.se/en/write-cite/tips-microsoft-word/how-start-page-numbering-example-page-3 I hope it helps!
@@hestudyskills3325 Thank you Mam
Sound advice. Why is your channel not easy to find? You should get more visits to the quality of the content you explain here. Thanks for your contribution. I am an unconditional fan now. All the best. Are you available for private lessons online?
I'm working on it! Sorry, not at the moment.
That is absolutely a lifesaver... You are a star! (and a clever little devil) Many thanks. I used to do all this on by one using bullet lists and the enter key. This process is very precise and easy to do, and it saves a huge amount of time.
This is great to hear. Avoid the enter key!
This is great. Thank you.
You're very welcome!
