Union Arena | Purple Bleach Deck Profile - Ichigo/Rukia/Byakuya
21:45 There is no way in hell thats the correct play over the rush 7cost ace right?
I have a habit of being unnecessarily aggressive to try to close out games because hey maybe their hand isn't real! But you're right. It would have been better to drop the Ace there instead of later. In the end I still won the match but it could have gotten dicey as a result
I feel like you should be maxxed out 5c kid or either 5c queen since they both of 6k blockers and do amazing things for the deck but I do believe you need 7c and 9c luffy and sanji from 09
I’d probably run 2k film Sanji over the purple one since Sanji can grab him out of trash.
@@TacticalDimples I was debating on playing the film Sanji as a replacement or just running both. I really wish I could just use the OP10 Odyssey stuff at this point because it makes Lim SO much better
@@FluffTCGyeah same. So excited to play her with the new upgrades
The straw hat version isn’t crazy you gotta go straight odyssey with Kaido linlin and adio as your big bodies
That Lucci matchup was such a rough one That tempo swing with Gecko into all that shenanigans is just too much
Im going to fill my board and remove your entire board in one turn Bruh
Luffy Sec and Sanji are going to be op mate, a must!
I definitely want to give this deck another crack with the OP09 Sanji SR. There were a lot of times where I wished I had him in my deck
@@FluffTCGwhy not Luffy Sec too?
@@nicholascapellupo6314 Do you mean OP09 Luffy or Gear 5 Luffy? After my first match in my video I update my decklist to throw in OP09 SEC Luffy because I forgot to put him in lol
@ yeah op09 sec ofc 🤣
@@nicholascapellupo6314 hey man...sometimes Gear 5 is just straight up a win button if the conditions are right 👀
Thanks for the gameplay videos, I'm looking forward to the demo on Saturday, so looking into building Shanks, and then a waifu build for my secondary (still trying to decide haha). It seems the events are the best defensive options for sure. I love alt win cons, so Roger definitely spiked me towards red more for competing. Any tips on starting out with red in general and or priorities to work on first when piloting, and improving over time?
@@wowtimeup I think if you want to play a red deck you should focus on being aggressive with your opponent and taking full control of the board. There are a lot of matchups where red just keeps dropping bodies and attacking that it becomes overwhelming for your opponent to get rid of your characters. Shanks having so many high power rush units makes it so that they can deal damage the turn they're played and they can likely stick around because of how hard they are to remove (although be wary of facing black decks). I've had luck with this deck just damage denying my opponent until I had 3-4 characters on the board with 8000+ power and just killing them from 3 life because they just can't block all the big swings in that turn
@@FluffTCG Yeah it was sad you didn't have much outs against Moria, so I'll have to be a little more conservative against that color. Seems like I'd rather have my 1 and 2 costs for shield value over actually playing them onto the field. Seems like not many times I would drop the 8 or uh 9 drop rush guy often because of holding up Don for magic number swings on what your board already presents. The Roger as a checkmate piece is so good in case they build a board and I'm able to get them to 0 life. Although I have heard against yellow or yellow/x they can recover one to turn off Roger.
I understand your frustration with the Kurohige people are complaining about it in Japan already it’s too much cancel your “On Play” because it’s a effect that the most of the cards have specially yellow decks man I have not play against it but man it looks so crazy I think it will get ban with the 12k blocker
I try my best not to get salty while recording but wow seeing 10c Blackbeard drop is so brutal for my morale. It feels even tougher to remove than Moria
Nice video , thanks <3
@@sunlance9353 Appreciate it! I'll keep trying to pump out more stuff

If i dont have any Sabo atm, what could be a good replacement? Q.Q Nice profile, love Perona so much
@@kennybell8067 If you don't have Sabo you should bump Borsa up to 4 bare minimum. It's hard to say what replaces him since he's not really a card that has a budget option. That being said, I'd throw in green Rosinante blockers because he at least has an annoying effect that can save rested characters from being KO'd
If you hate dofla you can put carrot or if you want to have a blocker thats Can t be ko you can play basil hawkins.
My new hobby is watching doffies rage quit on sim lol
You have no idea how many rage quits happen the moment my leader loaded in. Can't rage quit from a match irl brother you better learn that matchup
Is this still viable? All i see are Renji/Ichigo. How do you deal with HxH Kurapika and Green Bleach?
@@CeroGaming I have success going into Renji Rush because I think our removal is stronger while that deck is moreso just dropping bodies and swarming. They tend to run out of steam after a bit while we can control the board state better with cards like raid Byakuya, Senbonzakura, and Soi Fon. Same argument for Kurapika and green Bleach. Although like every other card game sometimes your opponent just hits the nuts and there's not a lot that you can do. Just my 2 cents though. I think this deck will survive next set with JJK coming while I think Renji/Ichigo will struggle more due to all the bouncing
Thanks. Also I noticed no orihime? Why?
@CeroGaming It's just personal preference and this was made right as the set dropped. I think maybe I'd add 2 but at the same time I've never really bricked with this deck so it's fine imo. Even if you need to put down 3 0s to play the 3c Ichigo or Byakuya you aren't really behind much
I run a 4x Line of Bambietta 2x Roid Loyd you have so many raids in the deck its totally worth it
@@NoahHayslip I think Roid Loyd definitely has a spot in this deck because of his ability for sure
Does the test draw include the 7 going to life or are you just drawing off your deck?
@@siccempowehi8664 Unfortunately the test draw doesn't have a life feature implemented at this time so it's all purely hypothetical. That being said, it's something being worked on in the future
@@FluffTCG yhwach needs an errata imo
13:40 rest Jack, KO Uta, play Brook, KO Carrot.
In hindsight that mistake is so embarrassing I can't believe I missed that LOL I have lots of brain fog when playing in the moment with decks I'm not super familiar with
@@FluffTCG i once lost in Tops of a bigger tournament, because i didn‘t register that the opponent had a blocker on field 😂 happens to all of us, especially after long days 👍🏻
i wento my first locals today with my renji rush. 3ppl were playing ritters lol also 2 yamamotos. one of the yamamoto won the night. i did terrble
@@vmiget01 Yeah a lot of decks nowadays seem to be constructed specifically to either kill Kurapika or Renji Rush. Hoping for a big shakeup when JJK drops next month
This is almost the same one to one build I have. Glad I saw this, I was a bit stumped on what play style to go with it. But now I see the connection.
Great minds think alike! I was split on either running yellow control and running yellow aggro but I felt like As Nodt is just too good to not take advantage of in this deck especially with knocking the raid off with Yhwach and tapping their character.
hey ive been countring too many buggy players and its an insta loss to me what can i do to improve that matchup + thx for the vid
@@Fahad-vo3cw unfortunately Buggy is one of Uta's hardest matchups because of board swarming. My advice is to run more backlights to deal with all the 5c bodies he spawns out and to also look into running cards like Electrical Luna to stun anything he plays outside of 10c Buggy. It's really hard though because Uta doesn't do great into really aggro decks with removal. It also doesn't help that they can either Red Roc or hard play Buggy to bottom deck your Shanks. It's not an impossible matchup but it's really hard for sure
Great video!
Man, its so rough seeing katakuri trounce whitebeard. In set 3 whitebeard ate katakuri up and it wasnt even close lol
@@tristanmoschetto8571 It's brutal man. Even playing as fast as possible, 7 and 10 Mom is like the bane of this deck's existence (besides blue Pudding). All the triggers from recent sets makes it way harder to deal with
The matchup isn’t as bad as it looks-he just misplayed it. Countering the first 8k swing and losing two cards? Terrible value. If he took that hit, he’d be at 2 life when Katakuri KO’d Marco, allowing him to bring Marco back. As you mentioned, back in Set 3, the strategy against Katakuri was to take every swing, preventing Big Mom or other cards from burning Whitebeard’s life. Holding a big hand is fine since Katakuri doesn’t have blue Pudding for pressure. I’m not sure why he kept countering so heavily and bleeding cards. Also, when they drop 7-cost Big Mom, you always choose to lose life instead of burning hand resources. Honestly, nothing about that sequence was correct. As a Set 3 Whitebeard player, I can confidently say this matchup still favors WB.
When you had 2 don active and had the 6k Ace and Leader available to swing. Was there a specific reason why you swung 8k and 6k? I thought generally you'd want to swing 7k twice as it guarantees at least 2 cards each swing if they want to counter out.
I'm not 100% sure of where in the video this was, but I sometimes like to swing 8k because of the 0c counter event. It may have just been a simple misplay on my part though based on the game state
I wish the 5 drop Ichigo isn't 30$ each and super low pull rate opened 3 boxes and was able to make green and yellow bleach but only 1 ichigo in 3 boxes so completely locked out of a colo4
They're $16 each now.
So cool
Ive found Raid Bambietta to be clunky. You rarely want to target the same thing twice in a turn so she ends up only being good when revealed from Life. The benefit of having such a low curve and resting top end is shown most when you can take 2-3 life before turn 4 and then have inevitability when you hit the midgame where both players should have full front lines. Deck loses the hardest to opps triggers compared to meta lists that dont need to be as gimmicky.
@@deejus. Unfortunately as I mentioned in the video even if you play RAID Bambietta from life her sideline effect is a "your turn" clause so she'd just be a body
@@FluffTCG oh yeah I just meant as a body at all, haha even worse than if she did work at all otherwise. Double reason to cut her for anything less clunky imo. Love the content and responses!
Where did you find out the 0 cost Rukia will be in the next box set?
I don't really agree with this decklist. Running 3 Raid Unohanas while only having 4 raid targets is pretty sus. I personally run it at 2 and it's enough. Nanao Ise is anti synergy in this deck with the 4g2ap Kenpachi and Toshiro. You're bouncing a character to your hand for more energy when in reality getting to Unohana is more of a combo piece/finisher, not the main game plan. Rojuro is ok at best while I personally lean towards Shunsui considering the fact that you are resting blockers with Toshiro so you can get in the dmg 2 or force them to have to block it with a 4k while your other big bodies swing at life. 0g Jushiro is useful for the extra energy when you want to raid Unohana but i don't believe 4 is necessary when what you really want is to increase the bp of your characters with something like 0g Isane Kotetsu.
@@Izarzin That's totally fine! I did have a decklist prior to this one that did run Kyourakus and Isanes for the reasons you mentioned but I adjusted it slightly. At the end of the day we're still in Week 1 of the game so I'll be making more adjustments as more sets release. My decklists are more "use this as a base of reference" and not "use exactly this deck to win your locals" at the end of the day. I really appreciate your comment though! I'll likely reevaluate my decklists in the future.
@@FluffTCGFor sure, we’re barely in the early testing phase so I can see why there will be variety in how it’s built. I’m maining this deck so I enjoy watching different takes on it so the deck profile is much appreciated.
Soi Fon is so good. Don't know why more people don't run it in my locals. Even if it goes to the backline, that's a benefit in my eyes bc you're basically protecting a constant removal piece that combos with the Raid characters like Ichigo and Byakuya. Because of the 0 cost Rukia and Orihime being removed, it's harder to fill your trash and actually be able to sideline something with the 5 cost Ichigo. You also constantly want 4 in the sideline for Impact Ichigo.
Why do you think purple Bleach is unfavored into green Kurapika? I feel like you aggro Kurapika out of the game.
@@EdLorcana I don't think it's massively unfavored. I'd probably put it at like 55-45 or 60-40. The problem from my experience playing against multiple green Kurapika players is that Emperor Time is really good if you give it to the Kurapika that gains impact if there's a 5000 power along with the 4k Kurapika that gains impact with 6 energy and I feel their deck snowballs really fast. I've tried to play it aggro but I just get punished and lose my frontline in the process and it becomes difficult to bounce back. I'd love to see more games of the matchup to see how players handle it from both sides but it's a bit limited right now in the west.
@@FluffTCG I’m a green kurapika player and when my opponent is second, they would just go turn 3 send everything up and play 3 guys to the back. Maybe I’m playing too greedy by trying to set up neon though and should focus more on playing some 4ks in front
I think you might be sleeping on Blut, -1000 power to any character on opponents front line lets As Nodt tap most raid targets. Then that way Jail can be saved for the bigger 5000 bodies
@@Jack_Frost_713 You may be right. I might have to make a part 2 specifically to build an anti-Kurapika deck at this point
@@FluffTCG Yellow is like placing DOTS on people (Damage Over Time) and killing them slowly without them knowing.
Idk if I really want to play this locally but this is probably the deck I am interested in
@@shadowX50 It's going to be one of the most common decks at locals for sure since it's super meta at the moment. That being said, the mirror is AGONY to play
@@FluffTCG ahh. I assume hxh would be the more popular choice. As far as IP goes right now, bleach is the only set I care about.
@@shadowX50 I think it's definitely locals dependent but from the ones I've entered, it's been 70% Bleach/30% HxH. Your locals may vary though!
you know i love this list its a bit different then mine as im not running the ichigo line up or raids i am actually running the renji line up i went for a more control heavy list plus the two damage is super nice! love your deck though hands down great list
@@CraftingClass-b2c Thank you! I mentioned Renji in my deck list and I think he’s genuinely a really good option. Ichigo/Renji can definitely pop off and I love how flexible purple can be
@@FluffTCG you are welcome ,yeah the rukia, byakuya and renji decks pretty spicy, purples just amazing
Hi everyone! 2 small things I'd like cleared up with my deck profile: 1. Soi Fon is a "do as much of the effect as possible" as per the Bandai rulings. It doesn't matter if your opponent blocks with the targeted character and it gets sent to sideline. When your turn starts, you have to move the Soi Fon to the back row regardless. Make sure to be aware of the game state before you empty a zone in your front line! 2. Senbonzakura Kageyoshi can also select 1 character twice to reduce it for a total of -4000. It doesn't have to select two different characters. This means the card is technically even better than I described in my video. So sorry for the mixup, as we didn't have a comprehensive rulings FAQ from Bandai yet for the English release at the time of recording this video. If I encounter any other rulings mishaps, I'll add it to this comment!
So given the soi fon correction is it still a 2 of in your opinion?
@@leumas3256 Yes I wouldn't change her quantity. In certain matchups like green HxH she can be a really annoying cockroach, but paying 1 and losing a frontline unit in the late game is really rough if your opponent has snipe units or can sideline and have a full board. Plus having 3500 BP means she'll be easily blocked by 4000 BP units. I still think she's solid as a tech option and draw triggers are really good in this deck.
Almost everyone i play with says soi fon goes to the back
@@justabot1857 You're actually correct on this! At my locals we were told that it doesn't happen if the character is gone. Apologies for the miscommunication! I'm going to make a comment with some small addendums soon!
