Autodip spray vinyl peel review and gasoline test

Tried some autodip on my bike and it came out nice, but it wont peel off plastic or flat paint. Gasoline did not melt or fade finish.

I was working a little bit on the ninja to figure out what was wrong with it and was charging the battery on a 12 volt 200 amp jumpstart charge period when I guess the battery just had enough.

I couldnt find a video on this so i thought i would make one. This is the replacement of the front main seal (crankshaft seal) on an audi 2.7t APB engine.

My 2001 Audi A6 with 3" catless downpipes (SRM) to 3" stainless true dual all the way back to two Borla xr-1 mufflers and 3.5" tips. Anti-Lag is at the end and im lowered on St coil-overs, wci cc10 wheels.

I just installed Borla Pro XS Mufflers 2.5" inlet and outlet. I installed them on the stock 2" piping. Cat still on, resonator delete. Not really as loud as i wanted but its not bad for just slapping something together myself.
Have an 04 A6 QUAT, s-line for abt a year now, $1,500 use running/driving, a little rusty... recently was replacing the fog lights, behind them were, on each side, an intercooler..huh Thought it was sort of fast, now I'm wondering if one of the previous owners did some other work on the engine Has 200k, but not a bit of dropping in any cyls Hey though, totally cool idea on the side skirts from the allroad .. stealing your idea Thanks for sharing too

Definitely counter hold the crank pulley when loosening or tightening. That locking pin is not meant to be used to support the crank while torquing the bolt
That’s a good point, what would you hold the pulley with tho?

How is the durability? If it were on a car do you think it would be able to go through an automatic car wash?
I know B5 S4 and C5 A6 2.7tt have the same engine. But does anyone know if this Method applies to C5 A6 2.5tdi aswell?
id like to put a borla exhaust kit in my audi a6, mine wouldn't sound as nice considering its a v6 3.0.... slow boi

HELP!!!!!!!!! Does the crankshaft locking pin need to be torque? If so what are the N.M.?
no, it tightens hard and fast. It hits metal on my 2001.5 2.8.
Mine experienced the same thing. Applied 12 coats and rock chips made them peel. Have you retried with even thicker layer? If so, how's that holding up?
I haven’t touched it since I sprayed it. I don’t have any rock chipping issues. I’m actually selling the bike soon.

Yeah they say only spray on surfaces that has a clear coat/gloss finish.
gregory smith ya I see that now. But the plastic windshield was gloss but plastic and it stuck to it but the headlights came off fine. I donno, just an informational video for everyone to learn from my mistakes. Awesome product tho
@@redbullgotwings typically OEM headlights have something like clear coat sprayed on them to help prevent hazing/rock chips, etc. That would explain as to why it peeled off the headlights fine.

Is there a better way to order autodip , I tried to order one can and they wanted to charge 15.00 for delivery ..so basically it would be 27.00 for 1 can +delivery
angel that's basically the only way. I ordered like 11 cans and it was the same shipping cost. So I guess you might want to find a few more things you want to dip so you can offset the shipping a little
It is a lipseal not an o ring, shakey camera work drives me nuts.
Not a mechanic just trying to help out and post a video that's no where on RUclips. I'll be sure to bust out my tripod and GoPro next time I make my quick how to video. Thank for pointing that out, spot on advice.

As you said, they come off little pieces only on that area. It might be the surface under it to cause the problem. by the way, try a Plasti dip dissolver. It works really well on removing the plastidip, better than anything else, Googone, CarGuy etc, you name it.
You gotta make sure you take pieces off to use autodip them. Also with it not coming off the plastic you have to make sure you mask areas off that you don’t want paint on.
You need to prep it perfectly before hand and you didn't put enough coats on. Just because the color has good coverage doesn't mean you're done. You need more coats period The peel strength comes from more product. You'll need about 4 to 5 cans to do a small motorcycle properly
Justin McMillin ya I did 11 coats with 8 cans Soo..... That wasn't the problem. It was just the plastic / flat color spray paint under it. Also it was prepped as per auto dip recommendation
I hope to god those aren't K03's, they don't handle anti-lag very nicely... even K04's don't

@@martsend_6864 there's many turbos that anti lag doesn't do near as much damage as others

Literally any boat guy could do that if you're desperate and can't do it yourself. Good deal you got there ;)
Also do you have a vid on how to get the car at top dead center (tdc) please ????
drowization once you get the bar, it only fits on TDC. So when you lock it, the crank will be right close to TDC maybe not perfect but a little wiggle and the pin will go in.

What do you mean by "once you get the bar"? I'm trying to get TDC on an A8 V8 for that seal replacement.

How were you able to clear the front calipers with those rims? and is there any fender rub?
Cory Smith fenders rub all the time. and they fit with 10mm spacers and I rolled the fenders wide as S. Go to willtheyfit.com and you should be able to find the correct offset to not need spacers.
