    Hello everyone! Here is GiGi. 大家好我是GiGi Today we are going to make the Taiwan traditional snake. 今天我們要來做台灣的傳統小吃。 In Taiwanese we called hún-kué. 在台語裡我們叫它「粉粿」 And we called Starch Jelly in English. 英文則稱它為「Starch Jelly」(澱粉凍)。 So, it normally come with two varieties: sweet and savory. 粉粿通常有兩種口味:甜的和鹹的。 For the Savory Starch Jelly is made by wrapping meat and vegetables, it a little bit like dumplings. 鹹的粉粿是用肉和蔬菜包裹起來的,有點像餃子。 While for sweet Starch Jelly, it enjoyed with syrup or for the dessert. 而甜的粉粿則是搭配糖漿或作為甜點來享用。 In traditional way, we mix tapioca flour and cornstarch to create a batter, 傳統做法是我們會混合木薯粉和玉米澱粉,製作成麵糊, and stir this batter into water mixed with natural colorants. 然後將麵糊倒入加了天然色素的水中攪拌。 Normally we use gardenia fruit to make yellow one. 通常我們會使用梔子果來製作黃色的粉粿。After mix the batter with water, we will put into steamer until it cooked. 麵糊和水混合後,我們會將它放入蒸鍋蒸熟。 Afterward, store it in the refrigerator. 蒸熟後,放入冰箱保存。 But now we usually have pre-mix powder.
