My Second Bike Crash
Просмотров 1,9 тыс.Год назад
An impromptu paddle in the chilly waters of Gayle Beck. No damage to the bike thanks to wider Renthal bars and trekking poles strapped to the back seat acting as crash bars. No damage to me because this happened at a blistering pace of 5 mph. If anyone wants to use this in a compilation, please feel free.

Set to music because the GoPro captured wind noise and not much else. It was cold, wet, and windy, but still awesome. Song is 'Pray for Rain' by Massive Attack.
Triumph Sprint ST 1050 with Delkevic 200mm Exhaust

Much better audio quality this time. This is after having a custom map written by BSD Engineering in Peterborough, so the pops and bangs are gone, but there's still a nice burble on deceleration.

My First Bike Crash

It sucked. Leg isn't broken. Just fucked up my knee. Finger isn't broken either. Drama queen. To anyone else who wants to use the video in a compilation, have at it. No need to ask for permission.
Ruddy hooligans 😂
invest in crash bars please, it will save your engine in the event of a slide:) they're not too expensive
that is were cocky riding gets you a destroyed bike
The bike was not damaged. I hopped back on and rode for the rest of the day after this.
I've been seing this in a lot of compilation didn't expect the original video would appear on my suggestion
Hey mate, is it OK to feature your clip in a moto edit some time soon? It will be credited in the description & comments section with your name watermarked on the clip. Thanks, MM
Yeah sure!
@@AngryPrawn Thanks mate. I will let you know when I use it :)
@@AngryPrawn Glad your ok. I saw your clip on MM BTW. I find going a little faster and not correcting you path works. You're basically hydroplaning on the water and slime, so turning you wheel just makes it slide out as you found. Start near the side the water is coming from as moving water will push you the way it's going. I've been pushed as much as 1-1.5 meters sideways but still made it keeping the wheel straight and constant speed. Ride safe.
@@AngryPrawn Hey mate, your clip is in the edit called No LIFE Like the BIKE LIFE! [Ep.#258]. Thanks!
@@DragonRiderProductions Thanks man, I appreciate the advice.
Hey mate! Would it be okay to use it in compilation? Full credited ofc!
Sure, go ahead.
@@AngryPrawn thanks !
Hello! Would it be okay to use it in compilations? Full credited of course
Sure, go ahead.
@@AngryPrawn Thanks a lot :)
Dropping my bike is my biggest fear.
It's best not to worry about it too much. It happens to most of us at some point, and it's usually a very minor accident. There are plenty of ways to avoid it though, such as getting off and checking a water crossing on foot before riding across it haha.
I don’t have a bike and I relate to you 😂
hi AngryPrawn, may I use it too? credited of course. Do you have comment or update on the video?
Sure, that's fine.
@@AngryPrawn thank you
Glad you're okay! May I use this video in my new episode? Full credited of course
Sure, feel free.
@@AngryPrawn Thank you!
Ah mate! Two wheels can be tricky. Hope no harm was done, like last time. As long as you're all good, just keep riding. 👍
Cheers mate. No damage done from this one. Just a soggy ride for the rest of the day!
Beast!
Did you run the bike with baffle in or the baffle out?
what kind of mount are you using for your gps
It's a RAM mount with an aquabox case. The ball joint is made by Telferizer.
That looked fun.
That is so beautiful 😍
Sorry love your vids of the st angryprawn the sound of that exhaust is amazing enough for me to buy an st gets delivered next week 😀 santa is on his way
Anyone fitted a 225mm to an St 1050 2009 there website says needs no tuning but the 200mm does little bit confused any help before I buy the 225mm please a se would be greatful
How does it look tho?
Hello mate, may I Feature this clip in my next moto video? Watermarked and linked to your channel of course.
I want one on my ST. sounds way better than the two brothers pipe. I wonder where and how you fitted the gps unit.
SWIPER! NO SWIPING
how did you get the audio that good ?
Looks like oil on the road. Someone's car was leaking. If you could ever find anyone responsible, the blame will be with them, but like this kind of thing you'd be incredibly lucky to find out who.
Just done mine, around £204 for Delkevic Exhaust and mapped to 20563 also gone 1 tooth down on front sprocket, awesome bike and that is coming from a Multistrada 1200 and ZZR1400!
Essex ?? Used to use the 1057 to get to Norwich when I couldn’t be arsed with A12 or M11 - some lovely roads. Liked the warning signs with a police helicopter on ... Should be getting an ST soon after my Blackbird got “Audi’ed” - decent ?
Having an Sprint RS with a Yoshimura, but this Delkevic is not bad at all.. Sound is great
Great stuff. Is that with the delkevik and the cutom tune. Any other mods. Im getfing a sprint 1050 soon and would appreciate ant tuning advice. Cheers.
Sorry for the mega late reply, pal. That power figure was just with the Delkevic exhaust and a K&N air filter. Everything else stock.
Hi angry prawn. What bhp does it put out at the back wheel after the new map
Hi - it made almost exactly 120whp and around 75 ft-lbs of torque.
Laindon.
In all its majestic beauty.
Damn that sounds so good
Any idea where I can purchase one of these pipes for my Sprint? Great sound!
I'm in the UK and bought mine directly from the Delkevic website. They have a few different sites for different countries, so depending on where you're based you should just be able to buy one online. Make sure you check the model year though. There are two different designs for the Sprint exhaust. The earlier bikes have the cat built into the downpipes, whereas later models have the cat built into a bulge in the midpipe. I don't think Delkevic make an exhaust for the earlier design.
cool race ;)
THAT SOUNDS MAGNIFICENT !!! better than my sr=tandard cutted pipes...LOVERLY !!
Why are you short shifting so much?
Because I wouldn't have a license very long if I went everywhere at 150 mph.
@@AngryPrawn ha ha true especially easy to hit 120mph in 3rd!
Do you have any pics of how the exhaust looks on the bike?
I do, as it happens. Someone else asked me for pictures a few months ago and the links still work. Here ya go: ibb.co/g1Os1v ibb.co/fejX1v ibb.co/gY11uF ibb.co/e0EMuF
how is the sound on the highway cruising its not to loud ?
With no ear protection, I would say it's probably a little too loud. Not painfully loud, but loud enough that your hearing could suffer over a long period of time. If you use any kind of ear protection you'll be fine. I use earphones with memory foam tips when I ride and they block out enough noise to be comfortable at any speed for any length of time. I've done 12 - 14 hour rides with no issue.
Cool Land Rover at 1:57
Aup bud. Exactly the same thing as this happened to me yesterday. My first time coming off. My bike is wrecked. Only had her 2 weeks. I thought I'd broke stuff too. Turns out I'm just bruised everywhere. Now I gotta get some money together to sort out replacement. Don't wanna go through insurance
I feel your pain mate. I decided not to go through insurance as well. Probably would've cost me more in the long run, after you factor in the excess, loss of no claims bonus, and jump in cost next renewal. Still haven't gotten 'round to fixing up the bike in the video, but fortunately it's my old 125 that I crashed, not the 1050 that I had bought a couple of months before, so I've still got that to ride. Shit happens though, eh? Important thing is to put it behind ya, learn from it (if there's anything to be learned) and get back on two wheels as quick as you can.
This sounds amazing, true its nothing like the sprint sound. i just upgraded my std map from TuneECU website. But after hearing this another ecu upgrade and pipe is required..nice.
Installed this exhaust today, went for a quick ride and.... F.CK me what a sound!!! Completely different from stock. These bangs and pops really are like a gunfire :DDD Later on will most probably go for at least dyno and fuel adjustment as can't see this being good for the engine in the long run.
Its a triple, normally makes the crackles and pops. Even the stock pipes do it, but muted
Is that a pre-cat Sprint? The Exhaust note (and tune possibly?) makes it sound very un-Sprint like. Out of interest how pricey was the ECU Map?
It's a 2011, so the cat *was* in the mid pipe. It's now straight through until you get to the can. The map did cost a chunk. About £300 if I remember rightly. Very much worth it in my opinion though.
This is the only thing that sucks about motorcycles any thing on the road sand, gravel, dirt, any liquid or substance turning around the corner to fast can cause you to loose control, best thing you could do is just slow down no matter if theirs cars behind you,if you don't slow down face the consequences of you getting fucked up and your motorcycle all tore up in pieces, you decide.
Hi Do you have any photos how it looks fitted on the bike? I'm looking for sports exhaust for my st but I'm little bit worried that delkovic may look a bit to small under big st seat and there mayby a lot empty space around silencer. Did you remapped your ECU or you running on standard map?
Hi mate, Personally, I think the exhaust suits the bike very well. There is some empty space there, but it's only ugly when looking up at the bike from underneath. I'll try to take some pictures later today for you. Regarding the remap - yes - I had a custom map written for it on a Dyno. It's required honestly. The microphone doesn't make that popping sound too bad, but in reality it was deafeningly loud. It sounds like gunshots. The throttle also turned into an on - off switch and low end power (idle to about 3k) felt like it was cut in half. This is all with the baffle out by the way, I never tried with the baffle in. After the remap the throttle is smoother than it was when the bike was stock. The popping is completely eliminated, but there's still a nice grumble on deceleration. Low end power is back, but not quite as strong as stock in my opinion. The real improvements came in the upper half of the rev range. From 5k RPM up to the redline the bike pulls like a train. My sprint never power wheelied when it was stock. It now pulls the front end up in first gear from 5k rpm just by opening the throttle. This video was shot before the remap, so it's running much much better than this now.
Thank you for all the info. I''ll be really grateful for some pictures (or just walk around video if you can) It maybe good alternative for trident exhaust which reminds me original (which I do not like ) but cost over £400. I have got teneecu program, cable and up to date TOR tune, so remap should not be a problem. I may do a dyno run after all just to check if it's performing well.
Hey man, Sorry it took so long, but I did finally get around to taking a few pictures for you. Better late than never, right? ;) ibb.co/g1Os1v ibb.co/fejX1v ibb.co/gY11uF ibb.co/e0EMuF ibb.co/g5EMuF ibb.co/ht5i8a ibb.co/hZ338a ibb.co/bAZnZF ibb.co/d8rqoa ibb.co/mcvGTa ibb.co/gdcwTa
It looks very good in my opinion. Thank you very much for pictures. I know what I want for Christmas :D
Pop pop
you been eating chicken with those gloves lol?
Is that diesel on the road ? Someone forgot to put their cap on, and when they went round the corner, some spilled out onto the road. I've seen this happen before..
Hi bro get well soon
Reason for your crash??
0:50 gravel, sand or whatever it is seen on road's surface
Hi Man, would it be ok to can i use this video in my new compilation, i will give you full credit in my description!
Hey, Sorry about the late response. Feel free to use the video.
What made you drop?
