I am 42, I am interminant fasting, counting calories, walking 10k steps a day, strength training 2 days.. Still high body fat but low visceral fat.. What do I do
1 look at how many active calories you are burning in a day. 2 Are you taking any fat burning boosting supplements... 3 How long have you been doing this routine...you might have to give it more time
I’m 48 but my body age is 53, however I’m also 384 lbs (morbidly obese). My brother is 46 but his body age is 59 and he’s 230lbs and far more physically fit than I am. Everything on the scale is a better indicator of good health for him, yet he’s older than me in a body Age. It’s very strange.
Usually the visceral fat is the % that indicates unhealthy fat, so his could be hire than yours

I did it! I did a long fast walk, three intense workouts, smaller bursts of movement throughout the day, and my Fitbit hit 5K calories burned. I was amazed at how much energy I had by the third workout 😃

This might just be the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. He’s not efficiently loading either muscle shoulder or bicep. And if one gets tired first the other muscle will be left not stimulated. The momentum shit also just adds a whole extra dimension of injury risk. Ss the reps are swung and not controlled
Hey great points. We see this as a functional movement vs an isolation movement. Example would be lifting a box and putting it overhead... You would ideally want as many muscle groups involved so you don't injury one.. Your training method is probably different than our functional method.. But cheers and love the feedback.

Just started using Omron body composition scales - most of the measurements seem reasonable (Body Fat 22%, Muscle 35%, BMI 25). Measured weight is within 0.2 lbs of my other digital scales. I'm reasonably fit, yes, BMI could be lower - but my "Body Age" is 65! (I'm 61) - I'm in way better shape than most people my age, so I'm going to say their lookup table is flawed. Given some of the other comments here, I'm going to ignore the Body Age 'estimate' LOL. Recommend they rework that feature or remove it.
I'd look at your visceral fat, the unhealthy fat, how high is it? Your goal should be about 7....

I am 42, my muscle ration is 37% body fat ratio is 19. I am working out since my 20s. My father is 69, his muscle ratio is 36, body fat 15. Never worked out for 30 years, occasionally swims. According to Omron I am 46 years old, my father is 44.
Wow, thats a great body fat for a 69 year old. They use the numbers based on a study they did and the results they found based on the stats they record. I would have to see your visceral fat as well,

I'm 42, but my body age is 63. Uh oh, This has freaked me out. I'm relatively healthy but smoked a lot in my youth. I typically work out a lot for about 4 months every year then lose motivation. Generally eat restaurant or home cooked food, varying in how healthy it is, and I do eat a delicious vietnamese belly pork baguette every morning. Damn I might have to cut that out!
First that sounds amazing... If your visceral fat and body fat are low, you should be ok. If they are high, watch some of my videos on how to decrease them
