Am I right in assuming that when trying to translate your reply of 'Holy yap unc' means that (holy yap), I'm a rambling (unc) old man? If so, it's because I struggle to get my point across in a three word sentence and for it to make sense to anyone else who struggles to read anything other than full words used in a sentence without the use of the English grammar. This reply obviously shows that!!! So 'All Apologies' if my sentences are 'Big Long Now'. I'll do my best to translate to shorter writings in the future. Coz 👁 m 👴👵 Sos 4 🥱 u 👶 by 👄 2 much.

I knew when writing my response that it would come across to most that it was written out of anger and its actual meaning will be overlooked or misinterpretted when read by the reader in that way. This is why I chose to carry on writing with a response, that even in length, and explanation of why my comments go into length, is so that anything I do write, is read and interpreted correctly by the reader, in the same way as intended by the writer. So, in that response, I chose to write it the way I did, in hopes of receiving a response to show how when writing (especially on threads) the reader often interprets wrongly and misunderstands what the writer means with his/hers opinions or statements. So, I was hoping to receive a reply about my reply to show that this is often the case, especially when any statement is written with so few words. It's often difficult to understand whether its intent is read with the same intent as it is written. So, I wanted to write a long reply, to show that if this is the case when writing a long sentence or sentences, then how much harder is it to understand what a writer is trying to say, when only a few words are written and no explanation is given. So, when anything is written that contains only a few words, it's difficult for some people (like myself) to know or understand whether I'm reading it the way the writer intended it to be read . This is the reason, whenever I write in any threads/responses, etc, they are not short sentences. This is mainly, so whatever I write, is obvious to reader, what the intention is, and is less likely to be misunderstood, by going into detail in what I'm writing about. I purposelly wrote the reply, in the manner I did, as I wanted it to be evident that if I wrote a sentence in length and it reads different to its actual intention, then how much harder is it (for people like myself) to understand what is meant, when using so little words? This is why (I think) there is a lot of insults and bitchin' with each other on platforms like RUclips. I dont think it's because most people intend to be offensive to others. Its more likely that it's been taken out of context, and what they (the reader) interprets, is completely different to what the writer is actually saying. So, something that was written, just as one person's opinion, gets misunderstood by someone else, who finds it offensive for whatever reason, when no animosity or anything offensive was intended, in what was written. This then becomes blown out of proportion, and there's all this back and forth, slaggin' each other off, with who's right, and who's wrong, blah, blah, etc. All comes from a statement from which the reader interprets it as something more than what it actually is. This is the reason I tend to write long sentences and give an explanation on certain topics I write about, so it's more difficult for anyone reading them to take it in, in terms of it's intention. I know that when writing this way, it may come across as going overboard in writing terms, but it's only to get my point/opinions across so others understand the background and intent so that they can not be considered to be anything other than what it is. I'm aware that this has turned into another long reply, l apologise for the long I'd rather make it clear on what I'm saying rather than people thinking otherwise. People can choose not to read it, I just personally prefer for others to understand what I write and I like the same when reading what others write, so I'm not thinking 'is this an insult, is it an aproval', not knowing or taking something out of context because it's not clear to me what is meant by it. So, now I'll get back to explaining why your own response is the response I was hoping to recieve by someone. Anything I say is not meant to be offensive to yourself or anyone else, so please understand this I'm just explaining the purpose of the reply I sent and this reply, it's to show how easy it is when writing for the writer to be misunderstood from the reader and vice versa. Firstly, as you've probably noticed by the fact my writings tend to be long and not abbreviated. This is mainly because I don't understand what a person is saying or the purpose behind it. (Probably an age thing) However, it's difficult for me to know the purpose and the meaning behind what is meant in a statement what only contains 3 words in total. Now this is were I'll get into explaining why I don't want you to feel offended in what I write here as its not my intention, I'm actually grateful for your reply as it was online with what I was hoping I would recieve, just to show and demonstrate how easy it is for words to be read in a negative or positive way to what is actually meant. When I asked the question to the person who previously sent a reply of 'What do you mean by "holy yap, unc"?'. I was actually asking a serious question. I gave my own interpretation of what I thought was meant by it, and as already pointed out I find it difficult what to make off a sentence only containing 3 words and what I perceived as maybe shirtand word/s. So, I pointed out what I perceived was meant by it and was hoping for a response by the person in order for them to clarify whether I was wrong or right in the way I perceived them. I explained that when it comes to writing a sentence with so few words and shortened grammar, it's difficult for me to understand the meaning behind it as I'm illiterate when understanding text language (it's possibly an age thing), so I wrote what I thought was meant, rightly or wrongly, but in hopes that they would reply and give me more of an insight. I realised when writing back that it may be perceived that I was writing back in terms of malice rather than a legitimate question, it wasn't because I was on the defensive but wanted to be educated whether I was right in my interpretation and if so I wanted to explain why they are long and not short. Its for people like myself who want to make clear what is meant when writing and reading without best guess, wondering whether im right or wrong in how I intent it. Rather than change what I was writing (as I realised it may come across as being a bit obnoxious (which wasn't my intention) I decided to leave it how it was as I felt that if I get a response that contradicted it's actual meaning, the way it was wrote easily could be done. I felt it was a good example of how easy it is for someone to get the wrong end of the stick even when it's a long paragraph with explanation. So, if that's the case when going into detail when writing, then how will someone interpret a sentence with only 3 words shortened. The last part of it was not me writing to be a dick by using emojis in my sentence, it was just me having a playful go at sarcasm whilst using the names of certain Nirvana songs, just to see if anyone got the joke or instead thought I was including them in a reply which I was hoping would be seen in different terms of what it's actual meaning was. I suppose by being sarcastic to prove a point is being a bit egotistical now that I think back, but at the time I thought it was a way suiting off the video and whether people got the inside humor of it with my attempt at sarcasm or whether it would be seen as me replying out of annoyance.I just want to say that no offense intended by using your reply as an example of how easy it is for anyone to see things different from the actual meaning. I hope by me saying this hasn't offended you, I'm grateful that it has hopefully helped me get my point across and why it goes into a lot of details why my writings can be long. Anyway, to wrap things up as this has turned into a 'Holy yap' lol. Thanks, I will try to keep any writings shorter in future whilst doing my best to get any points out I want to make, without having to write an essay each time. @@owenrick393 You know what, honestly I really respect that. In a certain sense, I too participate in what some would consider a 'holy yap' from time to time. And yeah, in general I understand what you mean; I'm 18 years old, and a whole lot of the time I honestly cannot tell what my friends or family (or just whoever) are trying to say to me, due to the lack of effort through their writing/texting. Without a whole lot of substance in their writings you're sort of left wondering 'Are they mad at me? Are they being sarcastic? Are they upset or sad?' You can never really tell... So yeah, I don't mind 'over-explaining' through text. At the end of the day; we write to express ourselves, being as expressive as possible is the objective. I can't speak for the first guy, but I'm not offended whatsoever. I honestly enjoyed reading your comment. I can tell you're just on here having fun, spending some free time, and that's what this is about. It's Nirvana; we're all friends here, we all love the music, we're all just tryna have a good time, and that's exactly what we're doing :) And yes, I fully agree with your original point too; Kurt wasn't trying to show off, he was just talking shit with his guitar. And the fact that this just goes right over so many people's heads is absolutely mind-blowing. Kurt did exactly what he set out to do, no more, no less. And if you ask me, that's pretty badass. Finally, I do appreciate that you took the time to explain your actions and reasoning. A lot of times (on the internet especially) small misunderstandings and miscommunications get vastly blown out of proportion and it just devolves into name-calling and other aggressive, unnecessary conflict. So yeah, you taking the time to defuse what could have potentially been perceived as negative... That's valuable, genuinely. I can tell that this is something that you're passionate about, that's good- Never let the passion die.
