Behind The Scenes At My Virtual Home Studio (Powered By OBS Studio)
TOO MUCH MUSIC SOUND IN YOUR PRESENTATION. THAT IS NOT A GOOD PRESENTATION.
How do you not get a headache from those lights
I just want to mix background music from Windows media player with my voice coming through my webcam mic, both going into zoom. Do I need to run OBS as well?
This is useful, but I have a question: Are doing this from the browser link entry to a Teams meeting, or inside the Teams app? I am trying this with the Microsoft 365 Home Teams app now and I tried setting up my own meeting and then joining from a web browser, and I don't get the chevron option for portrait view. What I get is just "None", "Blur" or a range of pre-selected backgrounds. This is on October 29, 2024, so perhaps things have changed since you did this. Or, always possible, I have done something wrong....
Hi. Hmmm…from the MS 365 web app I’m guessing you lose some functionality over the downloadable app.
wow! next time make a longer video on how to turn on computer with that round button and line in the circle: 1st:look at copmuter. 2nd: do not hurry 3rd: think 4.find a round button 5.press it. Voala! If not working in next video upcoming how to ocnnect the laptop to power source.
Thanks for suggesti…oh…wait…was that…sarcasm? :-) Thx for tuning in either way. I know some of these are obvious to a savvy user like you and it’s crazy how many business users aren’t aware of the simple things. Have a great day!
how to unlock graphics in a slide master?
Hello. The idea is to assets that are normally flattened in the slide master and instead animate them in Normal view using the Morph transition. Thx for tuning in!
@13:08 screenshot program

Thank you! This helped me solve my issue. I was trying to figure out how to put an image in another image while having a moving video in the background as I play video games and it completely worked. I thank you a ton!
Qual o video em background?
what the f**** dude where is the webcam?????
Where do you get your background images from? Is there a particular resolution you go with?
Hi Full Stack - Thanks for tuning in. I tend to get my pix from sites like UnSplash (free) to paid sites like Adobe Stock, or Getty Images over the years. If you have an Adobe Creative Cloud account, I'd check out the Adobe Express site and you'll be amazed at what comes with your subscription...
Wow, Amazing video. Although it really russian dolls my brain when i try and think this workflow through... You did a great job explaining. I just need to watch this like 3 times and take notes... Which i did. I made a Mind map of all of this.. Your awesome... Any advice or vids on being able to put zoom guests in preset template spots on obs... So if we have 3 players on an Streamed role playing game, i would love to have cool templates and be able to put each guest in a necessary spot...... i am guessing it is just multiple zoom captures and cropping as needed but also thining that would be a huge headache and kind of handcuffed with current zoom views. if that makes sense. cheers.. first video of yours i watched.. will check the others... soo sooo soo helpful..
Hey there, that's an interesting challenge, and one that I may over my skis on, but I'd say that you MIGHT want to check out something like Streamyard.com (an online production suite) where you all can stream your feeds into...and then do one stream out. In that case, if everyone had an OBS virtual camera, you can port that at 1080P right into the mix with your audio. Give that a look see...
I spotlight my obs virtual cam and that gives exellent results. No sharing at all
Hey there. Thanks for tuning in. That's a great way to go as well and was my earliest solution. A couple of downsides with larger groups from my experience: 1. Other users need to right click your camera and select "Fit to frame" and 2. You don't get the full HD resolution that you get with screenshare. so, if you are needing to show PPT slides and smaller fonts, it becomes troublesome. Thanks for tuning in and for the commentary!
Sucks. I have no idea what you are doing.
Thanks for sharing your perspective. I appreciate that integrated laser pointer usage during a PPT presentation isn't for everyone! Have a great day!
Which camera are you using Michael? (looks like a Canon EOS M50)
Hi! I have a Cano. Rebel SL3. I believe another markets it might be called something else?
@@mdthiel2 Right on. It looks great! And thank you so much for the video, Spot on recommendations.
Thank you for your video. Keep it up!
Thank you for tuning in!
i tried to change scenes but it doesn't switch the camera to the next scene.
Hello! I'd encourage you to take a closer look at the various hot key menu. I too have mistakenly assigned a hot key to what I thought was the scene transition and it wasn't. My recommendation: Look for the "Quick Transition: " option and then assign a hot key to it. Then when you want to switch between scenes (and here I'm assuming that Scene 1 and Scene 2 have different cameras), it will switch 'er up. Good luck!
This is amazing! thanks for showing us what's possible!
I am honored. Thank you for tuning in!
This was incredibly useful. I really appreciate it. You touched upon all the necessary parts of the set up, which was just what I needed. Thanks again.
Glad you enjoyed it. BTW: If you use Microsoft Teams, they now have a portrait blur option. :-)
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
It's always a pleasure to have one of your videos pop up in my feed! 🔥
Thank you! Been a while so I thought I’d fire it up again!
Aa far as I know, a webcam is a special device that replaces a full camera, or the built-in camera on your computer. A webcam is not a DSLR or mirrorless camera. That makes this otherwise useful video - based on the title - clickbait.
A fair point. Thank you for sharing. By the way, just released a Microsoft Teams how-to that illustrates that this capability is now incorporated for free, if you know what to click! Blurry Backgrounds Are Now Free in Microsoft Teams - All You Need to Know ruclips.net/video/LQpvaEf6x4U/видео.html
❤❤❤❤❤
If there is anyway to incorporate speed into production while maintaining quality. I’d be foolish not to accept , and adopt your model. I’ve been dabbling in digital advertising, and I am still very much the beginner. Very interesting video, definitely some good morsels to apply. Thank you .
For sure. Once you have your go-to design workflows down, you can achieve stunning design in record time. If PowerPoint is your thing, check out some of my other tips for fast workflow...
Really appreciated this video! Thinking I can use some of this for an upcoming event where I will have a live audience using a PA system and a Sony EX9200 projector. Will have 4 live presenters, 1 remote presenter, and myself as the live moderator. Will be sharing a PowerPoint presentation which the remote presenter will control approx 10 out of the 60 total slides. Need audio from room to include voice from remote presenter (so the room here’s him), and need remote presenter to hear everything generated in the live room. Also, want the live room to see the remote presenter, so was going to use Zoom or Teams to do that. Any additional guidance on this? Also want to capture a good recording of whole presentation for replay. Any other suggestions?
Hi Jeff - Sorry I missed this. With that level level of complexity, I think you'd want to move up to an actual hardware mixer where you can capture audio, video from unique laptops + cameras and mix into one feed. I'm guessing you did that and used a series of capture cards to make it happen. I'm not a professional AV technician, but I've seen what you've mentioned done, but it takes a fair amount of hardware.
Starts at 01:00
you're funny and informative
I like it!
Your video taught me a very useful technique. Thank you.
This should not take 20min to explain
Agreed, @skaterude14b! However, it took me 4 days to figure it out initially, so in that sense, 20 min is a win. Thanks for tuning in...
Thanks boss
You are welcome! Enjoy that laser pointer. I use it all the time!
Kinda glossed over adding the background. 👎
Thanks for tuning in, and I appreciate the feedback! (This was my first video three years ago, so yeah, there was room for improvement!). For backgrounds, you have several options > either add an IMAGE or a MEDIA SOURCE (a video loop) below your greenscreen Video Capture Device > adjust the background to fit.
ok but i want to have a live video that looks and sounds like i am at work. Something like what was done in the movie Speed, where they spoof a live video from the bus that is essentially just a loop.
So fun, and very easy. Use OBS Studio > Select a scene with just your Camera (green screen or whatever) > hit the Start Recording button > Make sure you BEGIN and END your recording in a fairly similar position (eyes on the camera) > edit your start/end > place this video in OBS as a Scene > set to loop. I do this on occasion just to have fun with my team. Pro move: Wear the same outfit!
Second. Audio Monitor plugin is OBS not better than Banana or maybe together?
Yes, good idea, but I want to use Zoom&Obs for Music Jam Session, so I need best setup for minimize audio latency and I want have best audio clear quality too. I'm not sure that is possible with using Banana software. Are you sure that for this will be the best option? Best for zoom&obs tandem setup? What do you think?
How often do you get told that you look like Timothy Olyphant and Josh Duhamel? Also, great content. Thank you.
Liked. Subscribed. Notification button smashed. Thank you!
Hi Anthony. Thank you for the kind words! I apologize for not checking this for a while. Hey, I'll take those comparisons any day :-) However, I better cut out the carbs if I'm going to approach them. Cheers!
Michael - I now am switching over and using Riverside instead of Zoom for my new podcast...can I use the same setup or do I do it differently?
Hi @tshee, apologize for the LATE reply. (I switched my email and these notifications got lost). I'm sure you figured out by now, but you can connect your OBS Studio virtual camera to ANY of the online studios, like Riverside, Streamyard, etc. In fact, just make sure you select your microphone and audio sources as the Voicemeeter Aux-in/out options just like on Zoom, etc. That's what I do for the podcast I host, so I can cut in my own music really nicely.
Magnificent, I'm getting ready to teach a GPT work flow tutorial I would like to do the presentation from teams meta-quest three.
That sounds awesome. Good luck!!! I'm jealous!
Well done sir
Hey Pres. I have an Elgato Green screen which you're obviously familiar with. Problem is, I can only get it so close behind me and it doesn't capture my entire web camera. So I have exposed edges on left/right side that are my actual office/room. When I apply the green screen settings, it shows whatever background I chose clear, crisp and no green edging, however, the areas outside of my greenscreen are my actual office still. As I stated, you can only get the Green Screen so close to the back of my chair, thus leaving exposed room view on either side. Any ideas on how to fix this? I thought via Chromakey [similar to using on Final Cut Pro Studio] MS Teams would factor in anything "Not" part of the green screen area - to apply the video effect to that outside green areas as well. However it doe not.
Hey. Sorry about the super late reply. Hopefully you've discovered the CROP tool in OBS studio. If you hold down the ALT key while dragging the little squares on the edges and/or corners of your Video Capture source in OBS, you can crop out the areas of your camera feed beyond your green screen. I do that, but also use a d-SLR as my video feed, so I can also adjust the lens to tighten up on me. Hope that helps. I've switched my email over so I'll get these replies moving forward. Cheers.
I'm having an odd problem where my Rode mic (which is connected to my Iphone via a dongle) is working before I insert my source video. Once I put in the source video (elgato), the audio won't work. The desktop audio works, but the elgato/iphone audio does not. Can anyone help?
Thanka
go over doing it from presenter view
Thankyou but you arent explaining what bits are the inputs and the outputs so people can actually visualise this in terms of cables. I need to understand it because if I dont If something breaks I'm not going to be able to find the fault. You are using terms. But not explaining the flow of how it works.
A DSLR camera on a desk mount is NOT a webcam. Sure, you can use it as a webcam, but your title is misleading.
Fair point. Thanks for the comment. However, when I hook up the DSLR to a video capture device, it technically becomes a webcam. That's what my attorney just whispered in my ear :-) Thanks for tuning in.
@@presentationplus-ups if I put it behind my door, it becomes a door stop, too. Not sure my point, just saying lol. Glad you took that with a light heart, sometimes my matter of factness takes control of my fingers and just makes me sound like an a-hole. Cheers!
@@1A509Media LMAO. Good one. Straight up bait and switch in this video.
I seem to be getting great audio sync issues. The video is way ahead of audio in my zoom meeting. Whe l use the svreen share of the OBS program output. Have you had to deal with audio sync issues .
Hi. It's been a while since I've done this with Zoom, but you might want to try a couple of things on your screenshare: (Share video and Share audio...or the equivalent names). I've had that help I believe.
Thanks I'll try that @@mdthiel2
