Wild Westcountry June 2024
The first couple of weeks of June were on the cold side for the time of year. But did manage to get enough clips for the month. The butterflies are few and far between at the moment, but some reptiles were out in force. A sprinkling of birds, flowers and a couple of long eared mammals.

June was not too bad a month. Some of the smaller birds seem to have gone on vacation.

May was a pretty good month despite the days of wet weather. Managed to get a woodland bird but just for a few seconds. Some cold blooded animals soaking up some rays to warm up.

May was a very busy month for the garden. Plenty of fledgling starlings. Two birds that don't often come to the garden but very welcome. The hedgehogs seem to have slackened off some, so not as many visits.

April at the start was either a washout or a blow out. But did get some nice days with some ground to make up.

April was quite a good month for birds with some taking away food for their young. Some bigger birds visited the garden. Night time was good with hedgehogs coming in for food.

March was a pretty good month for wildlife in the garden. The hanging feeder was especially busy with a new visitor for a couple of weeks. Some biffing with the hedgehogs,

Although February was rather on the wet side, did manage to get some nice shots. The countryside is coming to life with a big sign of spring.

February was not a bad month in the garden for wildlife. Adult hedgehogs are beginning to wake up from the winter slumber. Although it is fair to say, there has not been much winter here in my location.

Came across this September 2015. Did not realize at the time just how long the video went on for. Closest have ever got to a bird of prey.

Beautiful shots - bunnies were super cute!

The hedgehogs are quite a favourite visitor, glad you like the video, and thanks for watching.
Very nice footage this month. Nice to see all the busy birds.
Yes it got quite busy which was great to see. Thank you for taking the time to look.
Everything seems to be busy at the moment.
May was a nice busy month. Thank you for taking the time to look.
Lots of lovely visitors! 13:38 was that a hedgehog rolling another hedgehog?
Hello @MyaYard, yes that is correct. Can get like that in the garden sometimes. Thank you for watching.
@@TheWillpar That is too funny!
See youtube has classed this video as HD in the settings even though I set the camera to 4k. So will revert back to cameras original setting.
Although the cameras settings were their version of 4K, you tube has set it to HD. And cant o higher. So will revert back to high quality hd in the cameras settings.
Nice to see the bright Spring sun and the rooks nesting was a treat. Lovely!
Nice, I've never seen one before.
Quite common here where I live. Thanks for taking the time to look.
So many beautiful shots! Love the pheasants!!
Many thanks for the kind comment, and for taking the time to look.
😂That was so cute! Great shot!

Buzzard capture and jelly ear fungi very nice.
Nice work William. A sign that spring is on its way at last. Wettest Feb on record here I believe.
Thank you for looking. Did not do too bad.
Beautiful view and scenery
Yes it is lovely down there, great for walking. Thanks for taking the time to look.
A great selection. Loved the lizzard and the spider. Of course all of the butterflies too. But you saved my favourite to last. that was a good sized grass snake. Love them
Thank you, was just about home when I seen the grass snake.
Amazing wildlife observation footage at Westcountry and beautiful flowers too. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. 1 LIKE for the video. I'm a new friend here from Singapore. I hope you have a nice day. 👍🔔😍
Many thanks for your kind words, and for taking the time to look. I live in a lovely part of the UK.
Thank you, was thinking it may have taken advantage of a road ill.
Nice. Looks like he/she got themselves a wood pigeon. Definitely the right place at the right time.
Looked cold. the wagtail was going to eat no matter what.
Had pied wagtails come very winter for several years, always fed them live mealworms. Seem to have stopped this winter for some reason.
Nice work. Unless you are in a hide they are always quick to spot you and fly off....
Many thanks for taking the time to look.
This video is from November 2019.
Brilliant. what a wonderful capture.
Thank you, is a hedgehog haven here where I live.
No stopping him from all the mealworms. Gosh
He was a lovely bird, used to wait for me to arrive with the mealworms.
A great capture William. See them so little. Saw one for the first time last Summer. One day we might get the eco balance sorted out again and have an abundance of all things native to England.
Thank you. Walk that lane a few times a week, have not seen them since.
Nice. Different ducks.
Thank you, looks like some kind of hybrid.
Taken September 2016.
Taken in June 2014. Fed this bird on the dog walk or around 8 years.

Lovely video William. The painted lady was my fav and then the jersey tiger moth.
Cant wait for the new butterfly season. Love to see them and take a video. Thanks for looking.
Very cute. Good catch

Lovely selection William. Thanks for sharing.
Love the stream running water and the birds on the pond Definitely including the egret.
Thank you for taking the time to look.
Beautifully captured. Lovely video
They are oystercatchers 😊
Thank you, i did ID them after i got home.
This video was taken 8 years ago. Kept it private for some reason. Water seems relaxing for some reason.
Lots of hedgehog action in that one. Nice captures.
They do get around a bit.
@WildlifeClips365 Many thanks for taking the time to look.
Nice Mahonia flowering and camellias, nice selection
Very lucky to have hedgehogs. Never see any where I am.
Seems where i live is a good location for hedgehogs. Have been feeding them for many years now. Before trail cams, but now they are a blessing to see what goes on in the garden.
Nice set up William and the quality of the camera is pretty good. I have tried trail cameras and guess mine was too cheap to be good quality picture.
@WildlifeClips365 Thank you for taking the time to look at the videos. The cameras i use in the garden are pretty good. As a matter of interest, the hanging feeder camera has a +2 closeup lens, and the others have +1. Gets a bit closer. Did get a great clip of a sparrowhawk on the birdbath February 2023. You have very good videos on your site, will take a look later.
@@TheWillpar I had a look at your Feb video. Excellent 👍
@pauline001.....Many thanks for subscribing to my channel
Always nice to see a Robin. It somehow signifies the start of the shorter days and colder months.
Yes you are so right about the robin. Lovely bird to have come into the garden. Thanks for looking.
Love your garden birds
Many thanks for taking the time to look. Would be nice to have a more variety, but thankful or what I get.
