9 Days on the West Highland Way (starting in Glasgow on the Kelvin Way)
You guys! I watched so many of your WHW videos in the year I spent prepping for this trip. They were all wonderful and I found many helpful. I am SO DELIGHTED to have a West Highland Way video of my own to contribute to the pile. It is not fancy or complicated. But it is a very dear record of my time spent wandering the highland as a 35 year old American solo-hiker. And maybe most unusually, I DID NOT start in Milngavie but in Glasgow using the Kelvin Way and taking an additional 10 miles onto the trip. What a gift to walk.

Travel in Belize, Guatamala and to Tikal
Просмотров 3612 месяца назад
A 9 day trip into Belize found us on Caye Caulker on New Years Day 2024. We then rented a car and drove across the boarder to explore Tikal, Cahal Pech and San Ignacio. Using the footage we took, we've put together this video. Maybe as something slightly helpful for other travelers. but mostly for us to always have to remember such a lovely trip by. Enjoy.

It's June 2023. Sofia has just acquired a 2009 Suzuki V-Strom 1100 and we are ready to take it on a trip we've been looking forward to for a while The Colorado Rockies! Campsites we visit include River Hill Campground; Lake View Campground; Black Canyon of the Gunnison South Rim Campground. All beautiful and worth visiting. We took very basic camp gear and the weather was great the whole time. ...

We take the Tractor and the Big Pig on an early April 2023 trip to tackle Section 4 of the NMBDR. Closed roads, snow and ice, a dead battery, lots of trips up and down Highway 180, mountain top camping, fat kid trail mix, and jump start batteries make it an interesting trip!

It's September 2022 and we have finally made it back to Scotland. This time we plan to travel by motorcycle, visit friends and see if we can pinpoint exactly why Scotland has remained so much in our hearts since our first visit five years earlier. This video serves as an overview of our 10 day adventure, maybe with a little helpful info for anyone planning such an excursion, but mostly as a mem...

I love watching people enjoy our beautiful country, it makes me feel so humble. I regularly check for the latest WHW videos and came across yours! What a beautiful account of your time on it. You can see how much it means to you right from the start. Then taking that breath as you walked out of Milngavie. Extra special if you ask me. Well done again! Oh and I checked my strava, I was on conic hill on October 1st , so i may have just missed you. Thanks for sharing.

I, as a 61 year old solo walker, did the highland way just before you (Sept 7-17). Most amazing thing I have ever done in my life. Unlike you, we did get some rain, basically one day as we traversed Rannoch Moor (horizontal rain) but it didn't take away from the experience. The scenery, the people and the hike itself just can't be beat. Looking forward to returning either to the WHW or the Great Glen Way. Slainte 🥃

I truly enjoyed your adventure. In 2023 I walked the Camino de France, and since then I've been deciding my next long 'walk'. I felt connected to you and your experience. ( I also lived in Santa Fe for a time and even seeing you depart from Albuquerque made me smile). I'll be walking The West Highland Way this coming September. Your adventure video made my mind up for me. Thank you for your inspiration. Jack Millard

Footpaths? Stairs? Bridges? What is all this? When I did that route, there was none of that, not even signposts, nor a clear path in many parts. Now, it looks like a geriatric park.

What a terrific little video record of what it is to walk the WHW. Great music choices too. Brought back all my memories of doing this walk, which was truly the ‘trip of a lifetime’. I grew up in Glasgow and have lived for all but three years of my life in Scotland. The WHW was on my doorstep for pretty much my entire life and embarrassingly I never got round to walking it until I was in my fifties. This walk should be on everyone’s ’bucket list’. Your video has done Scotland proud - well done!

I am doing the WHW in June. Do you have any advice on how to book the train to Glasgow? We are also going to walk from Glasgow and I was wondering if you have any information about luggage transfer from the hotel in Glasgow to the hotel in Milngavie? I enjoyed watching the video as it will help us plan our trip. Any information you have, I welcome.

I'm 2/3 of the way through this and I'm loving every minute of it. I just feel like it's genuine and you're really enjoying it. I love how you've put the footage together. Really enjoying watching this. Personally, I've been wanting to walk the west highland way so much but haven't had the time for it. No excuse when I stay around 2 miles from Kelvingrove park. Loch Lomond is one of my favourite places to visit too. Go maybe 2 or 3 weekends in the summer every year. Beautiful place. I feel like some of us Scottish don't appreciate the country enough. I'm one of them. We win most beautiful country every year and we barely travel outwith where we live. Especially us city people. I'm sure you've got a lot of people pondering that thought. In and out of Scotland. Thanks for travelling as far as you did to visit our country. I'd love to know what motivated you to do it.

Quite superb. So many congratulations are due to you - Firstly for completing the WHW, and looking as if you could do it again immediately. Secondly, your narration, information and advice made the video so watchable and defineatly one that I would recommend to many others. Thirdly, your sound tracks - fantastic, and finally, although I know there are more points, but your pronunciation of some of the Scottish places, even Milngavie - great planning and thank you for making this available to us all.
