The look on Clay's face when you said, "Every team that won the special teams battle, won the series" LOL Its like it was starting to sink in, what is coming. A couple of thoughts; You guys are under evaluating the Oiler team defense. They have much improved 5 on 5 and PK stats this year, especially since the coaching change. The Oilers can play low scoring games and win, something they have improved upon immensely this year. Their gamesmanship has improved as well. I do think the Canucks 3rd and 4th lines are better, and may be the key to a series win for you guys. Your goaltending depth is better as well. In any case I expect a great series, will probably go six or seven games.
Bold prediction. Canucks sweep. They suprise in game 1. Win game they should have lost in game 2 and this causes the oilers to abandon their system, stop trusting in Skinner and play chaotically. After the series mcdavid asks for a trade. Draisaitl refuses to sign and the oilers end up in a decade of darkness.

Pods needs to be put with Petey and Big Hogs…. He’s a bull and will spark that line. Hit everything that moves Pods… pucks deep, Pods smash!!!!
That's a shame podz won't see enough ice time. He creates so many chances and odd man rush break out plays with so many hits thrown
And here we are. Sitting 1st with 105 points. Crazy
Soucy got benched because he shot the puck 5 ft over the goal, that turned into the play going the other way, he takes a penalty, then the puck went in off his skate.
"We're not jumping that much in one year" 🙄
'PromoSM' 😄
This is part of what Tocchet talked about needing a great off-season because it's a long grind. I hope some of the players take it more seriously this summer.
Mikheyev, Podkolzin, D petey for Guentzel.
Every time Parker says 'right', take a shot
The funny thing is: earlier into the seasond, some of us said that we don't want to face the Kings in the playoffs. Midway through the season the Kings were falling and looked like they were losing their stride. At that point, I thought, "Wow, do the Kings look like pretenders ..." And now, the Kings are on the way back to how they were in the beginning of there year. For real - for real, I wouldn't want to face the Kings in the playoffs.
Podkolzin and Baines for Jake Guentzel, shhhh but you heard here🥅🏒
Use Boeser for the screen , Petey too skinny
Let Petey go if he is so eager to leave trade him to Chicago for Bedard he would be doing us a favour
There's no way Chicago is going to trade away Bedard.
We're not going to win the cup but wouldn't say we're pretenders. Ppl need to temper expectations for playoffs, if we win a round the season is a huge success. We were supposed to be a bubble team or not even make playoffs.
After that Sunday Minnesota game?? 10-7 worst loss of the month .😮aptly title named .get some Dd!!
bad title man thats not gonna get you views
cant win all 82 games, cmon we had that game the refs did a number on us. im proud of the efforts with zadorov and boeser scoring, the melt downs are not the same as the blackhawks/bruins days.
Their schedule is a lot tougher for the remainder of the season so in the next couple months we'll see if they're for real.
Trade mikeyhev please
Is a 2 way deal on Kessel doable? Conditioning in Abby then call up for playoffs?
The Superbowl was so fixed .
oh what a year makes
One suggestion I'd have for the great podcast, not everyone has hour to listen to. Id suggest keeping the full form podcast but also making like 5-15 min clips with specific headlines so that way people can watch stuff more specific to their wants
As much as I would love to see us go on a great run to the Cup, I can't get past it being a one-off and having to regroup over the summer. When you look at contracts that are up and what re-signings need to be made, we either need to make trades to free up cap so we can re-sign them, or let the UFAs go & use prospects to backfill the vacant positions (how many are NHL-ready by camp?). If we're trading out guys to free up cap space it's costing us prospects or picks, so that's going to have an effect on our future as the prospect cupboard is still a little thin right now; if we're going to use prospects in the system to fill spots then that still requires more than I believe we have in terms of quality. I have no doubt Allvin and JR have ideas and plans but to me it seems a big ask to expect more than a one-and-done contention right now. With my positive hat on I do think it will mean we will be back to being a regular playoff team again, which is really the best place to build a contender from. I remain skeptical but optimistic, let's say that 😂
Lindholm hasn't been very good, he looks slow. Hopefully he'll get better with time but right now I don't think the trade made the team any better than before. Probably could've paid a bit more and gotten Eriksson Ek on a fair priced long term contract.
He's looked fine. His first games with the team aren't exactly under ideal circumstances being all eastern road games no time to learn the system, lots of travel time, no practice, and no time to get settled into his new surroundings. Wait till we see him in his 2nd home game where he's had actually had time to properly settle in
@@TheNewRidoreThat's why I said hopefully better with time, we will see but not a big difference maker so far for the price that was paid.
Trading a guy who is a defensive liability for one of the best two way centers in the league made the team better for sure. Give Lindholm a chance he's better than you think
Your team is too soft for the postseason. Talent will only take you so far.
Miller is not soft, Zadorov ..not Soft..Cole..not soft..Joshua..not soft, Juulson..not soft..I'm sorry, but we've added some grit , I'm not seeing your take here bud.
We have the biggest Defenceman lineup in the league? What you talking about soft? Mtl got to the finals for that exact reason. Big bad D men
That's what Debrincat thought before he got b slapped by Cole
Lol How do you get 51 likes on 17 views??
The view count doesn't update as you watch, but the like count does. Also, YT seems a bit screwy with showing view counts in the first hour or 2 of a video being published. Looks fine now (844 views, 70-odd likes).
They have just a good of chance as any team this year it looks like and that's all we can ask for as fans. Lots has to go right to win the cup, lets hope it breaks the right way for us this time.
The Canucks should try to get Nick Seeler and Max Comtois. Perhaps his legal issues are over. Still a young guy. 400k? I don't think Seeler would be to expensive. He would still upgrade the D by a little. Max would probably go to Abby for conditioning. I think Max would jump at a chance to play here.
So go out of your way to get a guy in legal trouble who is an ahl player. Yea, no thanks.
Easy boys... that's a stretch. Might hurt yourself.
Aw . You can say that every season . Relax .
It wouldn't be a shocker if the lines don't work the next game tbh, it's vs the canes defense.
Kessel might be a good pickup on a cheap contract and we wouldn’t have to trade anything
I wonder their thoughts on him, since they'd probably know him from penguins time.... but he is a one way player... not sure if it would throw the whole team dynamic out of whack.
Nucks could win a cup, or get blown out in the first round. Most likely in-between. Dont destroy the future by trading more. If anything move cap, find a way to sign...Petey, Hronek, Lindholm
I like it... assuming they can extend him; I don't like the price for a pure rental.
I think they asked Pettersson who he would like as his Centreman and Pettersson said Lindholm. He knows a line of him, Lindholm and Boesser would drive his points to 120 to 140 next year and 110 or over this year.
They wont split up miller and boeser, they have been good all season long so it will probably be peterson, lindholm, and either mikay or hoglander
Interestingly, Elias is Greek(and a few other languages) for Elijah. Ilya is Russian for Elijah. 3x Elijah line.
Hunter B. is looking to finish top 3 to 5 in OHL scoring this hockey season. Every player who finished in top 10 in OHL scoring ended up as solid NHLers to even a Hall of Famer (Bobby Orr). Even draft plus 1 or draft plus 2 d-men rarely finish in top 10 scoring in the OHL. Woo, Rathbone, Juulsen and the like aren't comparable to Hunter B. There isn't a single top 10 OHL leading scorer who didn't end up in the NHL as good to great NHLers. The only exception is Byran Fogarty, who had drinking problems that led to his death. Did not want to lose Hunter. B for a rental unless that rental helps the Nucks win the cup (or at least go very far in the playoffs).
The one big mistake this regime has made so far was re-signing Kuzmenko instead of moving him last year at the deadline for assets. He was pretty much a cap dump now and made them have to overpay for Lindholm. Either the first or Hunter B should've been enough to get the deal done imo, that is two really good assets and then Kuz who could possibly get back to a 30 goal scorer in right situation. If Lindholm doesn't resign and Canucks get bounced early it was a fleece job by the Flames.
a struggling forward in Vancouver a struggling forward in Calgary traded for each other...plus all the bells n whistles added in. not keen on this but lets hope it pans out.
I’d say both players are struggling due to their environment. Lindholm will have better players around him, and Kuzzy can let loose in a system that more suits him. Wouldn’t be surprised if both players perform better under their new teams.
But kuzy is stuggling because of the system, and lindholm is struggling because nobody on his line can contribute,
@@Canuck-Fiend dube is a goal scorer, huberdau a 100 point guy, i wouldnt call mikheyev a upgrade on wing. lets hope it works though.
@@Canuck-Fiend dube is a goal scorer, huberdau a 100 point guy, i wouldnt call mikheyev a upgrade on wing. lets hope it works though.
@@ToyMakerprops dube is gone buddy, and huberdau is worse than myers on the nucks🤣🤣. He is the worst slumped player in the nhl rn
I forgot to mention who drafted Lindholm. Jim Rutherford. I would be shocked if he doesn't re-sign in Van. He will probably take a discount for multiple cup runs. Rutherford does have 3 rings as proof. This might even make Pettersson take a cut.
Did Ron Francis trade Lindholm to Calgary or Jim?
Would like to see Noah stick around, think he makes a good depth 3rd liner reminds me a lot of Tanev and has proven that he can play tocs game. All that said I do agree with you guys and think adding lindholm is only going to help with a cup push, will miss kuzzy though
Juulsen has been a steady Eddie, plays that old school hard nosed game who we will need come Playoffs as can see him interchangeable 3rd pairing matchups in a 7 game Series
@@brizzchizz7302 agreed
6 All Stars… nice
First time since the ‘98 avs
Also, the last three teams with 5 all stars won the cup that year 😮
lol lindholm was only a all star to make him sound better at the trade. Calgary has way better people. Lindholms best season is as good as kuzmenoks 1st season in the nhl
It’s literally the Canucks power play now
@trickz3150 this is what I am worried about :/
Haha Parker thinks Kuzmenko will be annoying to deal with. It better not be a first round exit, man, because if you think Kuzmenko is not going to terrorize the Canucks for years to come you got another thing coming. A lengthy cup run makes this a great trade but a first round exit means just oh my god this will go down as a legendary fleecing. (Yet, still waaay more fun than Benning so it's all good).
Terrorize us with his lack of effort and non-existent checking? He couldn't even be trusted in the 3rd period vs a team like CBJ. I hope you are being sarcastic. Hes 28 in 2 days. I'm betting hes in the KHL in 3-5 years.
So, how bout them Nucks eh?
Question: With The Canucks in 1st place, why make ANY trades? "Hey! You know what we should do now? Now that we've pretty much been flirting with first in THE LEAGUE consistently the entire season, hehe... NO! WAIT! Hear me out, hehe... We should MESS WITH THE ENTIRE TEAM CHEMISTRY, and make a few trades! Huh? HUH? Whatchya think?"
"Who should the Canucks Trade For" is the title..............90% is talking about other stuff. Dumb.
Yea this need alot of work in my opinion.
