I guess we relativize everything here, everything changes with context here and be sensible to these changes of context is paramount to navigate brazilian work and social environment. I'm brazilian and although i like it sometimes it's too much. I lived in europe for a while and when i returned here i got surprised how much you have to be careful to not hurt everyone's feelings. Sometimes more objectivity is nice!

But unfortunately for some of us (Americans) the reality here is harsh and cruel. And you were very nice when describing the country and the people here. Hope you have many more good experiences.
