Looking good! You might want a roboport up there to repair the inevitable damage that will occur. Especially if you plan on being out-of-town (out-of-planet?).
Thanks! And yeah, a roboport would be a nice upgrade to the walls, I was thinking of having the single cargo wagon carry both repair packs and ammo since it doesn't really need that much capacity~
The automatic wall refuelling you did is cool, I usually just use lasers because I'm lazy :P

Heyo Just jumping into a random episode to look what the factorio community is up to. it looks like a good and fun watch for newer players or people interested in seeing whats factorio about =) Its good to see some examples of making a parameterized blueprint that are not rushed in explanation. I got two suggestions to your bot mall blueprint I found really helpful in my playthrough that helps alot with keeping storage clean and makes managing storage alot less work down the line: - Limit the inserter instead of the chest by connecting its inserter to the bot network (one of the top right symbols when inserter is opened) and using "disable when Parameter0 less than X" on it - Replace the red chest with yellow provider chests and set its filter to the Parameter0. This allows bots to bring back items to the mall (for example yellow belts) and they will be used up for crafting higher stuff instead of stockpiling in nirvana. Bots will put items back to its yellow chest and no other item will be stored in there when its filtered. With the limiter on the inserter you can make that number a parameter that you can input when placing the blueprint to fine tune the limit you want instead of the "2 stacks" you have right now. And it will work with multiple copies allowing them to craft in parallel but they will still respect the total limit.
Thanks, I'm trying not to make anything too complicated right off the bat so it's not too hard to follow for newer players. Having the quantities of everything managed centrally sounds like a pretty good next step! It would make things scale a lot better too. I did things a different way in my other save where each cell has it's own constant combinator allowing for recipe swapping but it got unwieldy too XD

For some reason I never thought of doing the math and reading the whole belt for space platforms, I just set it to read the start of the belt and toss stuff if it was backed up.
Being able to read the whole belt is a game changer but just tossing stuff out is totally fine too, everything in space is free after all right? :D

Could I have a steam key?
I had no idea you could change recipes with circuit conditions, I'm totally stealing that idea for rocket fuel :P
This is the first time I've done it for rocket fuel, I usually have 2 solid fuel production areas set up which use priority splitters to use up extra petroleum gas first but this is way more compact with the same throughput.
Yeah this time I set it to only make solid fuel with excess Petroleum, but I like the way you did it, it seems a lot smarter.
Imagine they made a party game version of this where everyone could argue about it in the living room XD
I like to keep biter expansions on in order to give a reason to build a perimeter wall, but I considered turning it off since it got annoying once I left Nauvis. Its up to you whether or not to keep it off, but I wouldn't mind seeing how you design your walls, even if you don't use them to keep the biters out.
Given the results of the poll I think I'm going to turn them on in the next episode and start working on defences. I usually do laser only but I might try gun + flamethrower this time.

My brain could not comprehend Kovarex when I started playing, but once I figured out circuits it became monumentally easier.
Its definitely one of those things that people tend to overcomplicate too! I tend to keep it on the simpler side since it balances out in the long run anyway~
Indeed, I also used to only use nuclear power once I had it (Kovarex), but I couldn't wait that long with space age.

I really hope it captivates me. I've been hyped to play it all this year. And I have no other games that hyped me so much like this game. The second game I really want to play is Light No Fire RPG with a literal Planet generated. But no release date yet.
Yeah I've been really hyped up for PoE2 and I'm hoping it turns out good! Its most likely going to be a lot of fun but I'm curious as to how far they can take it. With Light No Fire on the other hand I'm still highly sceptical of anything Sean Murray says since it does sound like he's repeating the same mistakes he did with No Man's Sky where he just overpromises a bunch of stuff. I am more confident in the rest of the dev team and am still looking forward to it though and will most likely be covering it on my channel!
@@IdoraAlphyGaming The boss introductions in POE2 are amazing. I saw The Executioner intro and I cant believe how bloody it is. And the great voice acting sells it so much. Not even Diablo 4 is this gruesome. It will definitely have a huge impact just cause of the bosses and how M rated it is, especially for a free to play game next year. But we will have maybe 50 bosses in this early access since we get 3 acts. And yea Light no Fire might be a disappointment but it got me really curious about the content and systems in place. Like the loot you put on if it has static or random stats. And if there are skill trees.
The bosses are probably one of the best parts of PoE2!! 1 had some cool bosses but most of them were in end game but having optional bosses and just straight up cool and interesting bosses during the campaign is going to be so cool!! Yeah, even if Light No Fire doesn't do too well it could still make big waves like No Man's Sky and that could be interesting!~

Spaghetti is as much of an art as a well thought out base. Sometimes just looking at your spaghetti mess next to your new builds is also fun, gives you nostalgia for when you started the factory :)

I LOVE GAMBLING FOR A MARGINAL STATISTIC INCREASE! I do actually like quality, but I think its better to get into later in the game when you can make a lot of higher quality items, and also have the ability to recycle the lower quality ones as well. The ability to put legs in the tank is hilarious and fantastic (also nice thumbnail, made me chuckle). As for time lapses for builds I think it would be interesting to see like the different iterations of the build as you designed it. Sorry if the long comment is hard to decipher haha..
Quality is so much fun, the dopamine of it actually paying out in those rare cases is amazing. The recycler definitely changes everything! Leggy tanks need breaks too D: (glad you liked the thumbnail!) And thanks for the feedback about the time lapses, I'll see if I can find an appropriate time to use them!
I scrapped over 2k recyclers before I researched legendary. Yeah, I got a ton of uncommon and a few rare recyclers; however, I would not do it again.
Brutal, it's best to craft with higher tier ingredients, I can't imagine trying to roll Legendary with just common intermediates.

The struggle between doing something manually or spending more time automating it is so real!!
I use yellow belts until I need the throughput of the faster belts, they're cheap and you generally don't even need red or blue (or green now I guess) to beat the game.
I used to just add more lanes too but with the DLC since a lot of the new stuff has really high crafting speeds I've found myself using higher tier belts than I used to!
Me too, especially with all the new crafting buildings base productivity, I should have said “used” haha oops.
Can't wait to get into some silly builds in this playthrough too!!

Trains are, of course, awesome and always worth playing around with. But the specific example of having to pipe around oil over a significant distance is a lot less pressing with the new fluid mechanics in 2.0. Any area of connected pipes or tanks up to 320 tiles long now acts as a single container, giving you essentially infinite internal speed and throughput. Beyond that distance you do need pumps, which do have a throughput limit, but you can have a bunch of them in parallel.
They are amazing! A lot more scalable than having belts or pipes coming in from outposts too since multiple trains can share the same network~ Also its so much fun watching them zooming around!

Bit of clarification, only destroying the biters nests increases evolution. I don't want to sound rude, just letting you know for future reference ^_^. Also 35:00, any mess is okay so long as you call it your starter base.
Yeah anything can be a starterbase!! Also, biter evolution has 3 factors in the map generation settings under the enemy tab, time and pollution are way smaller of a contributor than destroying bases by default so I see why you might have gotten it mixed up. Oh my bad, I meant to say that destroying biter nests increases it and killing biters does not. I know pollution and time also increase it, I just forgot to specify thats what I meant haha. You seem to know your stuff so I wont backseat unless Its something new with Space Age.
