Very useful information- you have just saved my day - and wallet. Suddenly lost one brake (in function) pistons where not moving at all. Had seen some leakage of oil at the handlebar. Needed to google and found this video on youtube. THX !

very useful, learning new tricks with all these. I use a vibrating toothbrush or razor (anything that vibrates is good ;)) to help agitate the brake line.

Where was the "adjust" ment part ? How does one remove the excessive free travel from the lever travel ?

my stanchion on the damper side seems to have no resistance. I loosened the crown bolts to adjust the level of the stanchions and pull it down thinking the air inside would resist abit, but there not thing. you can push the stanchion down and it does come back up

Do the Shimano Bleed Nipples have an O-Ring to seal off the threads when open? If not, most of the air you're seeing when sucking fluid out is probably leaking past the threads.
