@@thomasleaton7490 replaced the no8 gas jet with no5, machined a new damper collar, and lengthened & enlarged the blast pipe. More cosmetic changes to come soon

@@williamsrailways deepens on how you are running it. Without the water pump, maybe half an hour. With the water pump and depending how hard the engine is working the fuel will last 1-2 hours

Great running little engine. Took some patience to get the damper collars set, then I shortened the exhaust pipe in the smokebox.

Two things. What radius were your curves and did she come with knuckle couplers like the description says on the store?

@@eastcoastrailproductions my curves are 4ft (R3 I think). The locomotive did not come with couplers when I purchased it last year.

What coupler did you go with, and where did you find it?

@@eastcoastrailproductions I can’t remember the part number, but it’s a Kadee “scale” coupler. It sits about half a knuckle low, but I’ve had no problems so far

Version 1.0…works nicely but could be better

She did a great job building it, in her words the running gear was a little weak. Over the past 6 years almost all of the running gear has been upgraded and strengthened. The stack was replaced with heavy wall steel and the exhaust nozzle completely reconfigured to induce better draft. It’s a good machine

A coal fired version would be fun, but once everything is dialed in the running it on isobutane is very easy and clean

You can convert them to coal but there very nice and clean as gas fired

I plated over the opening in the bottom of the smokebox, except for a 3/8” hole directly under the chimney center. I removed the factory blast pipe and added a tee with a short nipple shooting straight up and a long nipple running straight down through the 3/8” hole. It has been a cantankerous machine, but slowly getting it to run better.

It came with the belly tank/hand pump installed. The crankshaft pump I ordered from Maxitrak and installed myself

@@charleskendall5972 it is an option, as an add on. The kit just became available, I got the engine in February
