I happen to want to play SMT1, the thing I'm most confused about is the build stast part in a game like this, hopefully in the future there will be modders to make English patches for SMT2 and SMT if PS1👍🏻

Most of these List keep forgetting that you can one shot any enemy in the game with Cait Sith. If you put just a little effort into understand how his limit break works, it's not luck based

In the area where you do the sidequest where Emeralda grows up, you can find Big Joe selling -Drive- that is the game's Stat Buffers. If you grind for a lot of money, you can buy as many -Drive- as you want and put all of them into Chu-Chu because her "Gear Stats" are translated from her "Base Stat", so you can make her stronger than anyone else in the game and basically become immortal with her move that heals Gears.

I utterly STOMP every single thing with Maria. Maria eliminates every single pack of enemies with one hit. I give her ether doubler, Lg Ether stone, plus Angelic Robe armor. Then equip Seibzehn with 3 Power Magics. Voila. Her “controls” options are non elemental ether damage which totally destroys everything easily

I’m replaying the original for the first time in 30+ and half way through the game I find Vincent + All + deathblow to be really effective at clearing groups of enemies (not so much single target). So surprised he is so low on the list (but, as I said, not played in 30’years so no expert on the game)

Truly AMAZING game that i pretty much never hear anyone talk about... PS1 is home to so many great RPGs but this is one of my favourite games of all time!💖

Breath of fire 6 murdered the franchise. It the last Breath of fire game, it could have revive the franchise after 5. But capcom said no, and decided a mobile game will work best.

Glad to see people love these games too, for me gotta say though 2,3,4,1 and then DQ. I get all the dislike for the original version of 2 but even without that cool ol' patch that fixes up everything ive still always loved the world, the characters, the music and art of 2 a helluva lot.

My issue with remake was too much filler content as well. I beat the game, but any time I'd get into the mood to replay it, it'd just be shot down because I'd remember I have to do all of the mandatory padding and it just sucks. Fun combat but everything else is middling, especially the final half of the game

Heard Citan's ridiculous speed was actually a bug, he's not suppose to be this fast, but it ended up elevating him to this god like status. Billy's nice to use, but his guns seems to have a limit in terms of damage, even after upgrading to the best possible guns and ammo, and str drive doesn't affect his damage in any way. Rico is naturally strong, but his very slow speed is a problem. However, if you can give him at least 2 speed ring S, it'll bring his speed up to a decent enough level to match most people. Chu-Chu is a joke character, only worth using if you max out her stats with drives. Then she becomes a monster, not only does she have the highest gear HP out of all characters, her physical and ether defense are so high that most of Deus's attacks either don't do any damage half the time, or do so little it's practically a scratch, plus Forest Dance heals 10k HP to any gear.

I beat the last boss with cait and vincent

Im playing FF7 rn for the first time and im still in disk 2 (after the submarine mission) and honestly i just love Vincent. The fact that his limit makes him uncontrollable is a plus to me cuz then i dont need to keep menu'ing for damage while the action bar of the enemy fills up. Yeah sure he might heal some enemy with his attacks, it happened to me, but if that doesnt happen then hes so good. Again im a beginner in this game and im probably wrong, but he just feels good. Good list though in case i have trouble in the end game

Crystal Project for 8,70€. There is a Demo if you wanna try a few hours but the gameplay is oldschool FF and a Minecraft looking overworld for free exploration, loads of fun there. Just realized, i believe i got all of these on Switch as a physical... except for Tales of Vesperaia, that one may still be missing, not sure as i have a hard time remembering all games bougth by now.

With the remake of P3, im waiting for the remake of P4 that will come out eventually in a couple of years (maybe after P6 tho)
