nice one. my first steps in making music actually was the SNES but i never liked britney....but my first big concert was a PUR concert. Not so far off Mrs Spears, though. That time i didnt even know of the existence of jazz 😅 If not done already, you really really have to watch "Die Legende vom Ozeanpianisten"!!!!! Whoop Whoop! New Explorer Video!
Nice!!!!! I remember the exlporer Chat-name Story! Good old days

Software name?
@@daydreamsandnightmaresande1699 hi, thanks for reaching out. I used Logic Pro X and the plugin is Chipsounds from Plogue.
Its already in the name. An industry never cares about the art, just about how much of it they can sell. Been so long before the internet became a thing. Think of how many artists could have made a living with the money majors earned from one artist like madonna, michael jackson or nirvana. I dont think the music industry is dead, they still make a lot of money and will do so for a long time comming. The artist is the one going to be the one getting pushed out of the big market, but at least there is somthing like bandcamp patreon and to keep some kind of hope, people will change the way they listen to musik and accept, that art does not have to be easy to easy to consume and for free.
@@Cannatare Thanks for your thoughts. I appreciate it. The artists have to change the industry. It's their responsibility to use the new technology for good!
Keep going!
Jo dude, was geht?
Lg

Thank for this topic. Since a few years, I'm trying to master more for dynamics instead of Loudness. But it depends on the genre I think. I believe in styles like Goa or Techno Loudness is still crucial. But for Jazz, Rock, or more complex music, I would say clarity over loudness.

In fact, producing to 0db or even higher in a clipper for exemple is a really good way to be sure that the mastering stage will be EASIER (If it still necessary) Because producing that loud early in the process make sure you handle all wrong peaks at the source And you dont have to wait a « final limiter » to know if your track will crash or not when pushed louder Fail early fail fast In Bass music i dont master anymore Because I produce with a reference track directly at the level of the reference track And it works really well for me If I need to send my mixdown to mastering because I’m not confident enough, i just lower by 10db before exporting so the enginner have headroom in 24 bits Just my 2 cents
@@Add1sondeSaulenet thank you for your insight. Usually I do the same. I think most producers nowadays have a Master chain on the output. But if you decide to give the mastering out of hands, it is important, to not clip. But years ago I learned a Mixdown should not peak -6dbFS under all circumstances. This is outdated nowadays. Thanks for watching and have a nice day.
Good topic, and well put. Thank you.
Interesting. I always leave the Mixdown at round about -3 to 6db. As long as it is above the noise floor, you should be fine.
